ROUNDS 3 & 4 DONINGTON PARK
Welcome to Donington Park for the second weekend of the 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup GB season. Nationwide is sponsoring Championship leader Dino Zamparelli in the familiar orange, blue, and white machine. Dino is a two-time runner up in the series and last season finished equal on points with the champion, only missing out by virtue of race wins. With Nationwide backing Tim Harvey and Dan Cammish to four titles, two each, Dino is definitely in good hands and we are sure with your support he will be right at the front of the field. Last year we welcomed over 3,000 Nationwide Team members, their friends and families, and our customers to race meetings across the country. We are delighted you can join us and we welcome you to Donington Park. We hope you all have a fantastic day! Don t forget to share your race day experience on Social Media for a chance to win a Nationwide Team Racing Jacket and be entered into the draw to win Dino s signed racing gloves. Simply share your photos using the hastag:
View from the cockpit It felt great to be back on track and racing after the winter. I ve been getting used to the team and understanding how Redline Racing works and we showed our performance with a win and third place at Brands Hatch. I can see from the opening round that Nationwide is a big supporter of the Carrera Cup. I ll make sure to keep getting the best results I can and it is impressive to see how involved Nationwide is. I m looking forward to entertaining and meeting Nationwide staff across the season. You can overtake at Donington and I m excited to see what we can do. I hope it is a little racier than Brands Hatch. We showed some awesome pace and have to take that through. I m gelling well with my engineer, with Redline Racing, and with Nationwide, so for me it is all about keeping going, progressing, and scoring points. I hope you enjoy your time at the circuit and hopefully I can give you something to celebrate about on track! It is definitely a boost to know so many Nationwiders will be on hand to cheer me on. All the best, Dino

Spectator guide Donington Park is centrally located in the United Kingdom and well-placed for fans from Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby. It borders East Midlands Airport and is a few minutes from the M1. Spectators enter the venue from Melbourne Road, where there are large grass areas for car parking. You ll walk in to the support paddocks where you can pop over to see the Porsche Carrera Cup GB cars and competitors getting ready to race. The best views for race fans are at the Old Hairpin, where you ll be able to watch cars come down the Craner Curves, or if you are up for the walk, by Coppice, which provides views across large swathes of the circuit. Getting to this point requires some effort from the entrance and paddocks, so might not be suitable for families. Tip: If you arrive early cross under the circuit and head towards The Esses at the end of the National circuit lap. This is where drivers will be making last-ditch efforts to gain spots before the main Wheatcroft Straight. Did you know? Cars used to pass under the arches of Starkey s Bridge after the Old Hairpin? Originally a garden feature, the pre-war Donington Park circuit incorporated the now Grade II listed remains. Donington Park Castle Donington Derby DE74 2RP www.donington-park.co.uk
