(4) Event Info: American 100 Modified Rules All general and safety rules apply for home track or governing series of competition. Amendments to said rules are listed below. 1. Eligible Models: Open to traditional asphalt modified type race cars, with a wheel base between 104 110. Maximum tread width 84 when measured at the wheel bead. NO LIFTING ALLOWED All teams must declare engine style and size to be categorized properly prior to competition. 2. Weight rule vs. Engine Displacement: All total and left side weights are with driver strapped in seat before starting heat and feature. All 390 carburetors must meet VMRS rule. A. ALUMINUM HEAD MOTORS 6.8 lbs. x cubic inch plus 175 lbs., minimum total weight will be no less than 2575 lbs, 56% maximum left side weight, maximum compression ratio 12:1 for 18 degree motors only. B. (SST) ANY NON-PORTED STEEL CAL HEAD 6.8 lbs. x cubic inch plus 175 lbs. minus 60 lbs., 2550 lb. minimum, any size carburetor allowed, 56% maximum left side weight. C. ANY STEEL PORTED HEAD 6.8 lbs. x cubic inch plus 175 lbs. minus 50 lbs., 2600 lb. minimum weight, maximum 650 cfm carburetor only (RoC Specs), 56% maximum left side weight. D. NASCAR Aluminum Spec Motor, 2650 lb. minimum weight, 55% maximum left side weight. E. SK Modified 6.8 lbs. x cubic inch plus 175 lbs. minus 60 lbs., 2550 lb. minimum weight, 57% maximum left side weight. Maximum 650 cfm carburetor only. Rear end must be locked, no differential or ratchet style spools. 3. Tires: Only NEW American Racer tires, specified by promoters of the American events may be used for qualifying and feature events. All competition tires must be purchased on property during event weekend and must be adequately marked and tracked by officials. All rims must be team marked and tires impounded nightly according to official time & guidance. Once tires are mounted, they are not to be dismounted or removed from visual site of competitors and officials. Any team found to be tampering with competition tire will be deemed illegal and disqualified from the event. Practice and set up tires may be previously used, but may not be utilized during the event competition. Tires will be tested several times throughout the event to maintain legitimacy and integrity. For the 10/15/2017 show: 6 NEW TIRE MAX 4 new tires must be on each car for qualifying races, must be properly marked, and only 2 new change tires will be allowed (this is to deter any doctoring of tires that fall outside of our impounding process). All 6 eligible tires will then again be marked by tech prior to the feature event. Officials must be notified if damage requires additional used tires only. All rims must be marked with team # and impounded within one hour of requested time Friday. 4. Spoiler Height/Width: 48.00 inches max width, 8.00 inch max blade height must be clear lexan (polycarbonate). A maximum height of 44.0 inches from the ground to the top of spoiler with driver. 5. Fuel: Host facility fuel only. Samples will be tested randomly throughout the qualifying and main event. No additives allowed. Be sure your tank is clean prior to refuel so not to contaminate testing. NOTE: All rules subject to adjustment according to the American 100 Tech team. All decisions are final.
