Welcome to the 1 st Annual Stockton Storm Invitational We are excited to bring you a tournament featuring the top elite teams of Northern California. A Premier Invitational. This tournament promises to be the cream of the crop. Congratulations on receiving an invitation to this event. This tournament will be played at the beautiful University of the Pacific Gardemeyer Fields. We are offering a highly competitive bracket of 8 elite teams in the U11 & U12 age groups. Our goal is to have your premier players come and play a premier level of soccer. We hope to offer you an event that will showcase a high level of competitive play against elite opponents. All your hard work deserves an acknowledgement and this is it. Thank you for accepting this invitation we look forward to hosting you at our 1 st Annual tournament. TOURNAMENT RULES RULES All games will be played according to the rules set by FIFA/USSF 2018-2019 age matrix will be used MANAGER CHECKLIST Credentials: *Player Cards-Valid, laminated player cards with a player photograph for the 2018 season. Only USClub player passes will be accepted. Same applies to any Guest Player. *Teams will need to have a USClub roster for online check-in. At the fields a GotSoccer Stockton Storm Invitational roster will be used to check-in players. *All online check-in must be completed 3 days prior to the event *All players must have a signed medical release form *All guest player forms need to be signed by all parties and on hand for review A maximum of 15 players may be rostered. A maximum of 3 guest players may be used. Please remember to collect your player passes from the Tournament Headquarters at the end of each day. TEAM CHECK-IN We will be holding on-line check in for all paperwork required 1) Log onto your GOTSOCCER account and go to the roster tab. Select the Stockton Storm Invitational event you are checking in for from the drop down menu. 2) You will then see two rosters with the top roster being your Official Tournament Roster (if it says frozen please ignore as you may still add players up until Wednesday before the event). Make sure all players playing in the tournament are on this roster, you will then print this roster by clicking roster tab located next to Docs 3) Print this roster and sign (double check all players participating are on this roster). Next, scan this Roster and save to your computer.
4) Go to the events tab, select your Stockton Storm Invitational event from the list. Then select the documents tab on the far right. 5) UPLOAD your official US CLUB Roster 6) UPLOAD your signed GOTSOCCER tournament Roster (that you just printed out and signed) 7) Tournament staff will verify your roster and you will check in at the tournament headquarters tent with your players and passes, 60 minutes before the start of your first match of the day. SPECTATOR EXPECTATIONS All spectators are to be on the opposite side of the field from the Team Benches. In the spirit of sportsmanship, we ask spectators to be in the same half of the field as their team. No spectators will be allowed on the team side of the field. No dogs or pets are allowed on the park facilities. If anyone brings a dog or pet, they will be asked to stay in the parking lot or leave the premises. There is no parking fee, but parking is shared with students of the University. Plan accordingly. No RV Parking will be allowed. No BBQ s. No noisemakers of any kind are allowed in the sidelines Good Sportsmanship is expected and encouraged from all persons on or off the field. NO DOGS, ALCOHOL or TOBACCO IS PERMITTED. Tents and Easy Ups must be secured. Any questions regarding an individual's behavior during the course of our tournament should be reported to the field marshals. TEAM CONDUCT All coaches take total responsibility for the conduct of their players and spectators. In the event of a problem a coach may be ejected (and the team may lose a point) if players or spectators are not complying with the tournament rules and demonstrating GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. HEADING No Heading allowed for the U11 division. Intentional heading at these age groups will be treated as an indirect free kick foul but will not be considered as an individual foul. No cards, will be given for a heading of the ball infraction.
SUSPENDED/FORFEITED GAMES If a game official (referee) needs to terminate a game due to misconduct or unsportsmanship behavior from players, bench, or spectators; the offending team or teams will forfeit their match and may be suspended from further play. The home league, state association and/or FIFA association will be notified as needed. If a game official (referee) needs to terminate a game due to unforeseen circumstances not relating to either team the score at termination will stand. YELLOW & RED CARDS A player given a red card or two yellow cards shall be expelled from the game and not be replaced for the duration of the match. Two yellow cards will equal the same as one red card. A player or coach receiving two yellow cards or one red card shall be expelled from the following match. The tournament committee reserves the right to modify the penalties. For purpose of this tournament a coach can be carded for his behavior on or off the field, and/or the behavior of his spectators. A team will lose 1 (one) point for each red card received. Passes will not be returned until the penalty imposed is served, or the end of the Tournament. Only an Asst Coach or Team Manager with proper credentials will be allowed to continue with the game in the event that a coach is ejected or serving an imposed penalty GAMES The home team is listed first and will change jersey colors if there is a conflict. Coaching will be allowed from one's own bench area only. This will be enforced by field marshals & referees. The home team will provide three game balls. If the ball is not acceptable to the referee, he may request another ball from either team. Game cards will be provided by the tournament and will include the roster provided in GOTSOCCER. Said roster needs to be completed by Wednesday before the event. PLAYING ON MULTIPLE TEAMS Players may play on multiple teams if playing in different age groups (playing up).
They may not play on multiple teams within the same age group. GUEST PLAYERS Each team is allowed up to 3 (three) guest players, not to exceed 16 players per roster, per age group. Player passes for guest players must be from the same season as the team as a whole. No mixed passes allowed. Guest players must have proper paperwork uploaded into GotSoccer Docs by Wednesday before the tournament. SUBSTITUTIONS Teams may substitute only with the referees permission and only at the following times. There is unlimited substitutions. Prior to a throw-in, by either team Prior to a goal kick, by either team After a goal, by either team After an injury-only injured player. At half time On a caution, only the cautioned player may be substituted at that time **Substitute must notify the referee and wait for his/her signal before entering the field at midfield. GAME LENGHTS Game times may be shortened in extreme hot weather circumstances by giving a 1(one) minute water break at the quarter mark. The Tournament Director holds the right to shortened game times if there is a delay in the schedule. Referees have been instructed not to add time for injury or otherwise except under very critical circumstances or due to obvious time wasting. Semi-final and Championship games will be same time as preliminary games. For Championship games*, if tied after regulation, teams will play two 5 minutes overtime periods (no golden goal) followed by kicks from the mark. Play will be based on halves as specified below:

Three (3) points for each tie. Zero (0) points for a loss. One point for each goal scored (to a maximum of three goals per game). One point for a shut-out game. A maximum ten (10) points may be earned in each preliminary game. A game ending in 0-0 tie score will be awarded four (4) points each team. EIGHT TEAM DIVISION: Will consist of two brackets of 4 teams each. Each team will play 3 preliminary games within the bracket. The team within each bracket with the most points after the 3 games will advance to the Championship Final. The teams with the 2 nd most points will advance to the Consolation Game (3 rd place). Minus -1 (one) point for each red card given (players and/or coaches) TIE BREAKERS In the event of a tie in points at the end of bracket play, the teams to advance will be determined as follows: 1. The winner in head to head competition. 2. Goal differential (up to 4 per game) 3. Fewest goals against. 4. Most goals for (up to 4 per game). 5. Fewest Red Cards. 6. Most shutouts. 7. If a tie still exists after steps 1 through 6, FIFA Penalty Kicks From the Mark will be taken fifteen (15) minutes prior to the scheduled start of the appropriate Playoff game 8. If a three-way tie exists within a bracket after steps 1 through 6, a three-way coin flip will be conducted. The teams that tie in the coin flip will compete in Penalty Kicks From the Mark to eliminate one
AWARDS Champion (team) Trophy, Individual medals, and Tournament T-Shirt will be awarded to the champions of each age group. Finalist of each age group will be awarded Individual Finalist Medals. 3 rd Place individual Medals will be awarded to the winners of the Consolation Games. Tournament Pins will be given to all players participating in this tournament REFUND POLICY Teams are not charged application fees until accepted. Refunds will be provided to teams that withdraw from the tournament prior to the application deadline (Application deadline Aug 22,2018) minus a $100 administrative fee. Teams requesting to withdraw following acceptance must do so by contacting the tournament at soccersisters@yahoo.com however, they shall forfeit their entire application fee. Withdrawing due to disputes pertaining to disagreements with the division/bracket placement or with the schedule are not entitled to any refund. DISPUTES/PROTEST All disputes will be settled by the Tournament Committee NO PROTEST WILL BE ALLOWED
