Just to remind everyone: All Chapters West is on June 9 th to 11 th at Friendship Village Campground in Bedford. All Chapters East is on July 28 th to 30 at Roxbury Holiness Campground in Orrstown, PA Please check the Chapter T Event and Ride Schedule for upcoming rides and events. I would like to wish every mother in the Chapter T Family a Happy Mother s Day. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down Randy & Janet Chapter Directors

Chapter T Assistant Directors Bob and Carolyn Short. We Hi Everyone, Bob and I would like to thank all of you that sent flowers, prayers, cards, visits and condolence during the loss of Bob s father. We are relieved to know he is at rest with the Lord now. Thank you all again. Just a reminder of the Pa District Rally in State College on May 18 21, hope to see you all there. We had such a good time last year. Happy Memorial Day.

EDUCATOR MAD COORDINATOR GARY & LUANN PAUGH Here are some Hand signals when riding in groups that ll Help communicate with your fellow riders. We have stop, and keep in mind that you always use your left hand for signals. Always throwing it to the left as your right hand will need to be used for the throttle hand to keep moving. We have speed up and slow down. Start your engines. Shut them down. We have a pull over or pull off exit signal, throwing your hand and finger over your head. Not to be confused with the single file single. When going from a staggered group riding formation to a single file. let s say on a narrower more twisted road. we Have the refreshment or pull off for a drink signal. Your thumb down, tilting towards your helmet. Your gas pull over signal will be a finger pointing over to your gas tank. Over to the top of your gas cap. We have a pull forward or take the lead signal. Taking your left hand from the back and sweeping it over in front of you. We have a follow signal where you would reach behind and tap your passenger seat or the back of the seat section on your motorcycle. Again, reaching over with your left hand and tapping the back of your bike will tell your rider behind you to follow closely or follow your line let s say around a race track or tight bend. there s a couple other signals pointing out a Hazard in the ground. you would either take your left Hand and point it to the ground or if it s on your right side or your Hands are not available. we ll take your foot and point your foot towards the ground at the incoming hazard. There is always the ubiquitous head top, which would signal to other riders either behind your or oncoming, to give them the heads up or warning as to a speed trap or a police officer/law enforcement officer in the area. So mind your speed and ride cautiously. Use these hands signals because obviously it can get tricky riding in groups. And riding in groups can be some of the most rewarding experiences you can have on a motorcycle. Use these signals effectively for a great group ride.

ROGER AND DEBBIE FIELDS CHAPTER COUPLE 2017 & 2018 Hello everyone, Went on a nice ride with Randy and Janet leading the ride. We went to Poky Dots. They had a very large ice cream cone For one scoop.. Had a nice turn out with nine couples. We are looking forward to the State College Rally., and Hope to see some of the people that we met at the Couples Retreat. And hope to get in some good riding because last year it rained. We are praying for very sunny weather. The weather is getting warmer and everybody is out and Riding. We need to be more aware of the vehicles around us, Because every time I look at my Face Book, someone has Posted something about a Motorcycle accident. And some of them have died from their injuries. The riding season has just begun, so please, BE CAREFUL!!!! Roger and Debbie

Rick & Andi Riek Well. hello Goldwingers everywhere, Don't look now but I believe old man winter may have finally released his icy grip on us. Those of us that have lived around this area are used to this kind of weather but we all know how fast this sunny, warm beautiful weather can disappear and frost is wiping out the blossoms on the lilac and rhododendrons. Let s hope he and Mother Nature is kind to us and she continues the warm, sunny weather. Try to remember that April showers bring May flowers, not April snow showers bring angry Goldwingers. May is motorcycle awareness month and we all know that angry motorcyclists should not take the bike out of the garage. Our training reminds us that before you get on your motorcycle you must be in a good frame of mind. With sunny days and warm temperatures ahead of us, we can mount our machines and enjoy the sport we all love so much. Also, motorist in cars and trucks are not used to motorcycles on the roads. Andi and I have been busy with the district team in getting ready for the district meeting and was still able squeezed in a camping trip with some of our Goldwing friends. We are now planning on visiting Chapter N for their anniversary celebration. I m sure this will be an enjoyable time. We are working on finalizing plans for the PA Rally coming in May. Lots of positive things are happening and we are looking forward to getting schedule of events out to you shortly. Mark your calendar, book your room, and get your registrations to us as things are filling up. We will be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to participate in the rally. The old adage "you snooze you lose" will soon be taking affect. And speaking of registrations, have you registered for All Chapters East and All Chapters West yet? Better get busy because the way time flies the deadline for registration will be here before you know it. What a wonderful time it is camping with your GWRRA family. Chapter C and Chapter W are putting in a lot of work hosting you at their events. There are flyers on the district website with all the information you need to register. Each chapter is planning on having a lot of fun at their events. Now is the time to start thinking about All Chapters East and Al

. Chapters West. Camping spots are going fast, so again the ole adage, if you snooze you lose comes into effect. Looking at the Roll for the Dough standings, there are a few chapters that are moving along. Don t forget the District will pay their charter fees for 2018. We are hoping for every chapter to get involved in this program. By visiting other chapter gatherings and events you can learn how other chapters run gatherings and unique events. Every day we get a flyer or ride schedule from our chapters. It is looking like a busy riding season this upcoming year. We encourage our chapters to post their events on the district website to keep everyone posted on what you have planned for your chapter. Just drop Mike Ammerman an email and he will post it on our site for everyone's enjoyment. Andi and I have been busy since we took over as District Directors of Pennsylvania working. And it looks like we will be putting on a lot of miles again this year. This being our final year as District Directors we are doing everything possible to visit all our chapters. We will be conducting another fundraiser for our district and chapters. The district has already applied for and received a small games of chance license. The district team has worked hard to put this together. We will be getting information out on our fundraiser very soon. Rick & Andi Riek Pennsylvania District Directors Go for it now. The future is promised to no one.
