FOREWORD MAC will organise a 1-day event at MIRA, Watling Street, Nuneaton, Warks, CV10 0TU Please note that MIRA is not a spectator event, and there is no public admission to this venue. Competitors and mechanics will require advance passes in order to obtain admission to the site. No persons under 12 years of age are allowed into MIRA. ENTRY PROCEDURE All entries will be held in abeyance for consideration by the Selection Committee immediately after the closing date, and notification of acceptance or refusal will be posted within ten days of the closing date for each event. Competitors requiring confirmation of receipt of entries should include a stamped addressed envelope with their entry. Entry fees will be banked as received. Entries cancelled 12 days or more prior to the meeting will be refunded in full less a 15.00 administration charge. Entries cancelled between 5 and 11 days prior to the meeting will be refunded in full less a 35.00 administration charge. Entries cancelled less than 5 days prior to the meeting, may be refunded MSA per capita charges only, upon application to the Secretary of the Meeting. Entries accompanied by post-dated cheques will not be considered. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organisers, as long as the event is not over subscribed, and subject to a late entry fee of 15.00 being paid In line with MSA Regulations an entry may be made by fax or paypal provided that it is received before the time laid down for the closing of entries, together with the entry fee. TROPHIES AND AWARDS Trophies and Awards will not be presented on the day of the event. Annual Trophies will be available for presentation at a date and venue to be advised or arrangements can be made for collection. Engraved Class Awards will be sent by post after the event. SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS 1. The Midland Automobile Club (Est. 1901) Limited will organise a Sprint at MIRA, near Nuneaton, Warks. 2. The meeting will be governed by the General Regulations of the Motor Sports Association Ltd., (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA); these Supplementary Regulations; and any written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event. 3. MSA Permit as specified in the Summary has been applied for. The event is open to Competitors in the Championships specified in the Summary of Event, members of the organising club or members of the invited Clubs listed. Permit Number will be advised in the Final Instructions. 4. All competitors must produce a valid Competition Licence, Club Membership Card or Championship Registration Card (if applicable). 5. The event is a round of the Championships specified in the Summary. 6. The programme of the meeting will be: Scrutineering starts at 8.30 a.m. Any competitor not signed on by 10.30 a.m. may be excluded at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course Drivers briefing at 9.00 a.m. (all drivers should attend) Practice commences at 9.30 a.m. Competitive runs commence 45 minutes after the end of practice or as determined by the Clerk of the Course. The first two competitive runs count towards results. A third non-scoring run may be given at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course, weather and time permitting. 7. Particulars of the Course are: The course comprises part of the Dunlop Handling Circuit having a Delugrip surface with fast left hand bends and a right/left complex at just over half distance leading to a straight and final left-hand bend. The length is approximately 1,860 yards. 8. Cars in all classes must comply with MSA Technical Regulations. Cars in all classes may be merged with another appropriate class should entry levels fall below the minimum for a class. All cars competing in invited championships must comply with specific regulations governing those championships. Competitors in the MAC Sunrise Sprint Championship will also be entered into the Championship categories as per the Championship regulations ADDITIONAL CLASSES AT THIS EVENT Class N Westfield Cars entered in the WSCC Northampton Motorsport Speed Series sub-divided as N(1) Roadgoing Westfields up to 1800cc (motorcycle engines up to 1150cc) N(2) Roadgoing Westfields over 1800cc (motorcycle engines over 1150cc) N(3) Non Roadgoing Westfields P Morgan cars competing in the MSCC Techniques Speed Championship. R(1) Cars entered in the Sevenoaks Speed League Championship R(2) Cars entered in the Sevenoaks & District MC Speed League Pre 1980 Historic Car Championship GENERAL NOTE: ALL VEHICLES MUST COMPLY WITH MSA TECHNICAL REGULATIONS CLASSES MAY BE SUB-DIVIDED OR AMALGAMATED AT THE ORGANISER S DISCRETION 9. Awards will be presented as shown in the Appendix. 10. The entry list opens on publication of these Supplementary Regulations. All entries must be made on the official entry form obtained from the MAC office or downloaded from the MAC website (www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk) and accompanied by the appropriate fee. Entries made on behalf of a driver under 18 years of age must be made on an entry form obtained from the MAC office. Entries may be made online through the MAC website. Entries close at 10.00 a.m. on the day shown, or before if it is fully subscribed. 11. The maximum entry plus 10 reserves is 120. The minimum for each class is 5. Should either of the above minimum figures not be reached, the organisers have the right to cancel the meeting or amalgamate classes as necessary. Entry fees may be refunded as detailed in the foreword to this document. 13. Reserves Entries which are accepted as reserves will be so indicated in the Provisional entry list, together with the order that they may be brought in to replace non-starters from the competitors listed in the printed programme. All reserves will be given practice and those who are not brought in to run in the event will be made a refund of the entry fee paid less 60.00. The reserves to run in the event will be notified by the end of practice. 14. Officials of the meeting will be notified to competitors in their Final Instructions, and published in the event programme. Any changes will be notified on the meeting notice board. 15. Provisional Results will be published as soon as possible following the end of the event. 16. Any protest must be lodged in accordance with MSA Regulations. 17. Starting order will be as shown in the Programme. Cars will start singly. The starting signal will be a green light. Method of timing will be electronic, activated by the vehicle breaking a light beam. A timing strut in accordance with S.10.9 is required. The finish line will be indicated by chequer boards. 18. Competitors will have the opportunity of walking the course before practice, and will be given the opportunity of two practice runs. Additional practice runs may be allowed at the discretion of the Clerk of the Course, time and weather permitting. 19. Competitors will be identified by competition numbers in accordance with MSA regulations. These will not normally be provided by the organisers however there may be a small stock of numbers for sale at the sign-on.. 20. Marking and penalties will be as printed in the appropriate section of the MSA General Regulations except as modified below: S.9.5.4 If all four wheels leave the tarmac surface or marked boundary no time will be recorded. S.9.6 The timekeeper in charge at the start line shall be the Judge of Fact in respect of false starts. 6

The Chief Section Marshal at each post will be the Judge of Fact in respect of a car leaving the course or taking the wrong course. The Environmental/Noise Scrutineer will be the judge of fact in noise related matters. 21. All vehicles must comply with the Silencing regulations of J.5.17 Sound testing may be carried out. 22. Cars running in Roadgoing classes must run in a road legal condition. Competitors must be able to produce proof of current road tax, insurance and MOT certificate. Proof of road tax will be via Taxation Receipt or vehicle enquiry print out using the DVLA enquiry web site. Competitors will also be required to provide the vehicle registration number on the entry form. 23. Tyres must comply with S.11.6.2 list 1a or list 1b. Tyres for cars running in championships must comply with the championship rules. 24. The use of any external device or power source to pre-heat the tyres of a competing car, whether the tyres are fitted to the car or not, is prohibited. 25 On board cameras. Vehicles can only carry cameras if authorised by the Chief Scrutineer and Event Organiser. Mountings will be closely inspected. Please indicate on your entry form if you intend to compete with a camera fitted. 26 Electric and hybrid cars should carry a sign adjacent to competition numbers in accordance with MSA regulations 27. No competing car may leave the site during an event without permission of the Clerk of the Course. Roadgoing cars must remove or cover competition numbers before going on the public highway. 28. Animals will not be admitted. 29 All other MSA General and Technical Regulations apply as written. All references are to the 2016 Yearbook. Second in each class (subject to 6 starters) Third in each class (subject to 10 starters) An Award An Award (c) (d) Conditions relating to Trophies and Awards (i) No competitor may win more than one major trophy and class award on the same day driving the same car (ii) All annual trophies remain the property of the Midland Automobile Club and are held for not more than eleven months. By entering for and competing in the event, the recipient undertakes to return the trophy on demand, to make him/herself responsible for its proper care, and to make good any damage which it may sustain while in his/her possession. (iii) Class awards remain the property of the recipient. Credit Points - Regular competitors will have the option to accumulate credit points during the season instead of receiving Class Awards, at the following rates: First in class = 80 points; second in class = 60 points: third in class = 50 points Points will be valued at 30 pence per point and may be exchanged for vouchers at the end of the season. Vouchers will be available for the purchase of goods from B.M.T.R., Merlin Motorsport; M.A.C. merchandise or entry fees to M.A.C. events. 8
