Dear Cheerleader Advisor: We are so glad you and your squad will be attending the Jones Cheerleader Camp. Summer will be here soon, and before we know it Bobcat Cheerleader Camp will be here. Check-in will be on Wednesday, June 18, from 9:00-9:30 a.m. in the D.O. Thoms Physical Education Building. The opening session will begin at 9:30 a.m. Please read the following important information for Bobcat Cheerleader Camp: 1. Only the advisor is needed at registration, squad members need to remain outside. After registration, you and your squad should enter the PE Building for opening session. 2. The original copy of the registration forms should be turned in at registration and a copy should remain with sponsor throughout the camp. 3. Payment is due June 1. 4. We are requesting that squads bring only ONE sign to hang in the P.E. Building. You are not required to bring a sign, but sign winners will be awarded at camp. 5. Please do not bring drinks, food, or gum in the gym area of the P.E. Building. Each squad may bring an ice chest but drinks should be in ice chest and taken out only for breaks. Squads should go outside or in hallway for breaks and meal times. Sponsors please leave your area clean each day. If you would like to eat lunch in the cafeteria, please have each cheerleader bring meal money. 6. A sponsor or parent should be with each squad at all times. Children who are not participants should be under the supervision of their parents. 7. Hom Pom evaluations will have 1 division: Cheer If your squad would like to bring a cheer to camp, the Jones Cheerleaders will evaluate to improve performance for ballgame. 8. Jones Cheerleaders will teach 6 eight counts for the dance session of camp, your squad will incorporate 6 eight counts of dance, stunts, and tumbling to the end of the dance. 9. 10 Chants and 5 Cheers will be taught at camp, you will pick 1 cheer and 1 chant for evaluations. 10. Individual campers are encouraged to attend camp! Jones cheerleaders will form a squad for individual campers for evaluations. The Jones Cheerleaders are very excited about 2014 Bobcat Cheerleader Camp. The theme for camp will be Luau Party each squad should wear their camp T-shirt on Thursday.
