Pope Valley Ropers and Riders General Meeting Minutes August 10, 2018 Call to Order: Mary at 7:00 (Meeting held at Arena) Pledge of Allegiance: Roll Call by Sign In Sheet. 11 members present. Guest: Jamie Anston (representing her family for membership) Approval of Minutes: Minutes approved with amendments Officers Reports: President: information throughout meeting. Vice President: absent, enjoying Hot August Nights in Reno. Secretary: none Treasurer: Absent, with report sent in. As follows: Checking Balance: $2608. Savings Balance: $2942, PayPal: $575. Gravels cost estimated to be $600. The membership thanked Kaye for an excellent and diligent Job. Committee: Gymkhana: Kaye send word that the Financial report from the Gymkhana season will be presented at the board meeting. Arena: Rob will head the Fall breakdown of the arena. There are a number of old and unused items that need to be given away or hauled away. These include trash, cyclone fence, and 2 harrows (Joe will take these) Mouse proofing is critical for the storage shed. Additionally, in the maintenance department we need to redo the plywood in the judges stand, and there is a limb to trim. Trailrides: August 12 in Angwin at 9:30. IMPORTANT: Pt Reyes ride September 29-30. Make reservations at 415-663-1362. All Motorhome reservations need to be in conjunction with horses and riders. Pair up and make your reservations together. RVs need to be listed as living quarters for riders. Planned dinners by Joe Sullivan, Friday night-spaghetti, Saturday night-tri Tip. Breakfast and lunches are individually planned. Clinics: The Body Work Clinic with Melissa Murphy was very educational. Cheryl Brown, Mary, Shannon, and Jami Anston attended. Old Business: PVFD and Community BBQ: This was a very successful event with lots of community help. Plans to fine tune for next year are underway. Thanks to everyone who helped! Gravel: Bid from Eakle with be coming. PortaPotties: We need to check last cleaning date and billing. Cleaning cancelled after Sept Meeting. Those of you who have not yet paid will be receiving an email from the club shortly as a reminder. Anyone who plans to participate in any club activities this year must have a signed Insurance Waiver of Liability on file with the club s secretary. If you have not yet completed this form, make sure you download the most recent version of the form from the club web site. (see address above) or from the attachment which is included in this month s newsletter email.
