HEAT POLICY - ALL SPORTS Oakleigh Recreation Centre will enact the heat policy during times of extreme heat affecting the stadium. Basketball and Futsal games will still be run 2x 18 minute halves, however, at the mid-way point of each half a referee s timeout will be called by the officials in order to allow players to have a short break and take fluids onboard. Netball games will run 4x 9 minute quarters but players will be given a break between ¼ and ¾ time in addition to the half time. The clock will not stop between quarters only at the half. We encourage players to bring and drink plenty of water on the day and where team numbers permit that teams make frequent substitutions during the game.
