jackson hole gazette September 2018 Hellfire Edition Special Edition Congratulations to Slick Mcclade and Panhandle Cowgirl, overall cowboy and cowgirl! LOCAS (Ladies of Cowboy Action Shooting) Clean matches are sweet! When you shoot a clean match with the Jackson Hole Regulators, it can be even sweeter. Thank you Wyatt Syrup, our clean match sponsor, for these great gifts. We had 24 competitor's shoot the match clean - no misses and no procedurals.
We had 112 shooter's show up for Hell Fire '18. The weather was nice (for September in Louisiana) Friday during side matches and warm-ups but the clouds started moving in that evening. Saturday morning started humid but dry with the first rounds down-range at 0900. By 0930, the bottom dropped out! It pretty much rained for the rest of the day, but finally pushed out prior to the banquet and stayed dry through the remainder of the match. JHR would like to thank all the shooter s and their families who came out and spent the weekend with us. Putting on a match like this is a team effort. Special thanks to the folks that helped set up the range, from cutting the grass and weed-eating to painting targets: Crusty Steve, Doc No Mo, Ranger from Four Rivers and Slick McClade. Speaking of targets, thanks to Smokey Shane and Calhoun Kid for designing, cutting and welding the targets. The swinging rifle targets, the plate racks, tombstone rack, shotgun targets and most of the rifle and pistol targets also came from these two. How about those decorations? All the credit goes to Lacy Anne Leather and Cody Collee! Thank you to Ivory for camping out in the ranch house and taking care of registration and helping with parking. Thank you to the vendors/sponsors who donated items: Norris Syrup, Klassic Laser Works, K&T Guns, Chey-Cast Bullets and Starline Brass.
