The good news are that we have lot of entries for the 8th EYAC, much more than ever before. The bad news are that we have real problems to get accommodation for all. This morning we found the only possible solution: We have to shift the Championships for one day! This means the new date is from June 8th to June 11th. 8th IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF Championships, Germany, 8-11 June 007 Dear sport friends, we are glad to invite you to the 8th IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF Championships. Germany was the host of the ARDF World Championships 1997 and the IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF Championships 00. Now for the first time, a first class international ARDF Championships will take place in the Eastern part of Germany, which was a separate state until 1990. May this championships promote the contacts between young people from all countries. We are looking forward to your participation. There are simple rooms with to beds. Entries There were a lot late entries. The table shows entries up to end of April. 8th IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF Championships, Germany, 8-11 June 007 Program Friday, 8 June: Saturday, 9 June: Arrival, training, opening ceremony 144 MHz competition, awards ceremony Sunday, 10 June:.5 MHz competition, awards ceremony, party Monday, 11 June: Departure Other activities The youth hostel provides a good starting point for outdoor activities. There are various sports facilities. The nearby lake (1 km) with its beach and boats as well as an indoor swimming complex with sauna ( km) may serve for recreation. An easily accessible rock formation ( km) opens a wide view over the Ore Mountain region. (Additional entry fees may apply.) Competition rules The competition will be held according the international rules for Youth ARDF championships on the 144 MHz and.5 MHz band for the categories W15 and M15 with ranking of indidividuals and teams. Only competitors born in 199 or later are allowed to participate. Technical parameters of the equipment.5 MHz RF power: W; Frequencies: MOE-MO5 580 khz, Beacon 550 khz; Antenna: Vertical 8 meters long; Grounding: Counterpoise 8 meters long. 144 MHz RF power: 1 W; Frequencies: MOE-MO5 14455 khz, Beacon 14485 khz; Antenna: Crossed Dipole.5 meters above the terrain.
