RULES Suitable foot wear and a hard hat to the current BSI safety standard MUST be worn at all times when mounted. A novice horse or pony is one that has not won a 1 st or 2 nd prize in any previous competition. Age of rider is as of 1 st January 2017 All ridden horses and ponies must 4yrs or over. Horses and ponies with an infectious cough are not allowed on the show field. All dogs must be kept on a lead. The organisers reserve the right to alter or cancel any of the classes without prior notice. No galloping allowed on the show field apart from when specifically asked by a steward or judge within a designated ring. Any person wishing to lodge an objection must deposit 10 with the secretary within 15 minutes of the end of the class. This sum is not refundable in the case of the objection being overruled.(rulings are at the discretion of the organisers, whose decision is final). Height certificates may be needed in the event of any dispute. The organisers reserve the right to ask members of the public to leave (If deemed necessary). No horse or pony must be left tied to a trailer or lorry unattended at any time. LIABILITY CLAUSE Owners and competitors entering their horse or pony do so at their own risk. It is a condition of entry that no liability of any kind attaches itself to the organisers, land owners, or any stewards, staff or judges in respect to any injury to animal, rider spectator or vehicle. The organisers have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For the measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and they must obey the instructions of the Organisers, Officials, Judges and Stewards.

HUNTING & EVENTING CHALLENGE SECTION JUDGE TBC HUNTING CHALLENGE StartTime Approx 1pm For the hunting challenge section competitors will be required to jump a course of working hunter type fences, a selection of hunter trial fences( with 2 optional higher fences for bonus points),open and close a gate, walk over a bridge and take a glass of port/drink from a tray. The challenge will be judged on performance, turnout (Hunt Dress or Ratcatcher ) and way of going using a points system. EVENTING CHALLENGE ( Start time 11am) For the eventing challenge competitors will be required to do a short dressage test, jump a course of fences to include some hunter trial,rustic and show jumps.the challenge will be judged on a points system as follows Marking Dressage 30 Jumping 50 Style and way of going 20 Total 100 Jumping penalties same as Hunting challenge Please use dressage legal bits and no martingales for the dressage section, but martingales may be replaced for jumping section. 16.
