From this in Late 2015 BUCKLAND ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB INVEST IN THE SOUTH WEST S MOST FORWARD THINKING FOOTBALL CLUB Thank you for taking the time to look into how your support and sponsorship of Buckland Athletic FC can not only help the football club but also your business. The commitment of our sponsors makes a real difference to the club, and in return we do everything we can to raise sponsors profiles, both amongst our supporters, club user s and businesses. So we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the most forward thinking football club in the South West. We have a number of sponsorship packages that will not only benefit your company, but our club and the community. The club was formed in 1977, purely running junior sides, and it progressed into senior football in 1987. We have three senior and six junior sides, with the 1st Team playing in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division (Step Five of the non-league pyramid), our successful 2nd and 3rd Teams play in the South Devon League Premier and Division One. The junior sides are in the Torbay Pioneer League. The club continues to grow last season, 2015-16 we had our first Ladies Team and they won their League title and League Cup in what was a great season for them, and they have now been promoted to the South West Women's League, jumping a division in the process. Then in 2016-17 we will have a Ladies Development Team and Girls Under 12 Team, as we continue to increase our family club. The 1st Team do a huge amount of travelling, with their opponents based in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and the Bristol area, which does mean that our travel costs have gone up considerably, this will be added to by the Ladies 1st Team this coming season. Our Homers Heath ground has been built up by our own club members, with the clubhouse, grandstand, paving and floodlights, all being constructed by them over the last nine years. With the improvements continuing with the addition s this year of enclosing the ground, two turnstiles, a new covered stand and an outside toilet block all added
To this in early 2016 early in 2016, and we have now got a D Grade for the ground, which would allow Southern League football, which is what we want to achieve. We are continually looking to improve the facilities at Homers Heath, for everyone that visits us. The club is run on a purely voluntary basis with members giving their time for the club for no financial gain. Why should your business get involved? We have, literally, hundreds of families involved with the club, and through your involvement with the club, every one of them will be encouraged to support your business, directly, and by introducing friends and relatives to your services. You will be part of a group of local businesses who share a common interest and we will encourage you to network with these other businesses to create additional business opportunities and customers. You will demonstrate to your customers and staff your commitment to support local sports activities and have the opportunity to use our facilities for your social and company training events. The Club is eager to develop strategic partnerships with local businesses and entrepreneurs. We have many exciting opportunities available and invite expressions of interest from any interested parties Our sponsors play a crucial role in helping us drive forward improvements both on and off the field of play. By developing the facilities and services we already offer, we aim to fulfil goals, to provide a top football club for the local community. With our ten year plan, we will be a self sustainable club, but that is only possible with the help of all our fantastic

This joint partnership is using the slogan 'Achieving Excellence Together' and this message is now displayed on a large advertising board beside the new turnstile entrance at Homers Heath and also on the fence of the allweather pitch, next to the main road, at Coombeshead Academy. John Piller, the commercial manager at Buckland, explained the reasons behind the link -up. "The main objective of this project is to give the young people of Newton Abbot an opportunity to get involved with a progressive club in the national football pyramid," he said. "Both male and female students at Coombeshead will be given the opportunity to involve themselves with the club at all levels not necessarily just as players. He added, the club will also welcome students who wish to be involved with photography, reporting and social media. "Through this, students will also get the opportunity to work closely with the sports desk at the Herald Express and receive guidance from the sports editor Richard Hughes. "This can be for a period of time to complete work studies or projects or for longer if required. "Furthermore, for those senior students who are considering a career in rehabilitation and sports therapy, the club can arrange observations and opportunities to spend time with the clubs two professional physiotherapists to give them a real life experience.
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP Buckland will also be offering all Academy students free admission to any of the clubs first-team fixtures with parents or guardians admitted at half price providing their son or daughter accompanies them. John said: "The club want to be able to give something back to the community and would like to express their thanks to Andy Balsdon, the director of sport & PE from Coombeshead Academy, for being so supportive throughout our discussions.
