U.S. Swimming Pool and Hot Tub Chemical Market Report Year Ending 2015 During 2015, the retail value of pool and hot tub chemicals was about $3.7 billion. Sales were down slightly from the previous year. Total chemical sales have only increased about 7% over the past decade and have been slowed by sluggish growth in the corresponding residential and commercial pool and hot tub segments. The overall value of retail chemical sales has also been impacted by the growth of alternative sanitizers which reduce the need for traditional chemicals. 1 The U.S. Pool & Hot Tub Chemical Market YE 2015 2017, P.K.
