Baylor Athletics: Making History in 2009 The Baylor Football team returns Big XII Offensive Freshman of the Year Robert Griffin and First Team All Big XII Defensive players Joe Pawelek and Jordan Lake. Joining them in 2009 will be the most highly regarded recruiting class since Baylor joined the Big XII Conference. The Baylor Men s Basketball team reached the postseason in back to back seasons for the first time in school history and advanced d to the championship game of the NIT. The Baylor Women s team were Big X11 Tournament Champions and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament Under the leadership of pre-season All Americans Kendall Volz and Aaron Miller, the Baylor Baseball team opened the 2009 season ranked #8 in the nation.
