WELCOME Heading into its fourth decade, Motorvation is Perth s greatest car show, featuring the most elite show cars from across Western Australia and beyond, Motorvation attracts hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators. The Show n Shine judging arena (adjacent to the bar) will showcase the hottest street machines and hot rods along with Traders Alley, while the huge KFC Burnout Competition will smoke out the Snakepit. Motorvation has a reputation as the show with go, meaning the cars all get driven across the weekend, letting spectators experience perfection in motion. EXTRA BUDDY CAMPING AND BUDDY TICKETS Extra buddy camping and buddy tickets may be purchased on the day at the competitor gate as you drive into the pit paddock. For anyone who has already entered Motorvation 31 presented by KFC, but wants to add camping? Pre-purchase by Wednesday 11 January 2017 by Email motorvation@motorplex.com.au with request & credit card details; or Buy on the day from Entrant Credentials when picking up tickets. FRIDAY ENTRY Friday is the commencement of the event and as such all persons entering the venue are to have a valid admission ticket. Any person wishing to enter the venue who does not have a pass will be required to pay the admission fee (see previous page). Please remember only those with camping wristbands can remain on site after 10pm Friday. CAMPER SUPPORT VEHICLES Night access vehicles will be given a night access sticker. They are permitted to enter after 10pm on Friday night and park in the Camper/Entrant carpark behind the Formula Tech Performance Park parking but must exit by 8am on Saturday morning. Something to bear in mind is that entrant campers are responsible for those they purchased buddy camping passes for. So if they play up, it could be you who gets evicted.

CREDENTIALS At the Credentials building (located 100 metres past the competitor gate on your right) on the event day you will receive your event passes, camping passes, buddy camping passes, buddy passes and entrant sticker. Your car will be affixed with your vehicle entry sticker by a staff member - note that even with your tickets you ll need this to get in with your car. No sticker, no entry. The Credentials building will be open between 12pm and 9pm Friday and between 7am and 12pm Saturday. PASSOUTS Entrants/spectators wishing to leave the venue during the event must retain their ticket/ wristband and obtain a pass out stamp from security - only those with both pass out stamp and ticket/wristband will be allowed access back into the venue. If a car is removed from the venue, the entrant must ensure the sticker is still secure. No sticker, no entry.

STICKERS During Motorvation 31 presented by KFC you will notice all sorts of different vehicle stickers on cars throughout the venue. Different stickers give you different access and without them affixed to your windscreen you will be denied entry into the venue. ENTRANT VEHICLES At the Credentials building an official will place an entrant display vehicle sticker on the lower driver s side of the vehicle window - only vehicles displaying this will be permitted in the Formula Tech Performance Park during the event. SUPPORT VEHICLES Support vehicles will be given access to the venue prior to 9pm on Friday only - this includes trailer access for all vehicles. They will be given an External Carpark Pass for use throughout the event. CAMPER SUPPORT VEHICLES Night access vehicles will be given a night access sticker. They are permitted to enter on Friday from 12pm, and park in the Camper/Entrant carpark behind the Formula Tech Performance Park parking but must exit by 8am on Saturday morning. CONVENIENCE SHUTTLE We are aware that it is not always possible to set up on Friday, so for the convenience of our entrants we have arranged a regular shuttle to depart from the Credentials building with load bearing capacity to transport tools and accessories for entrants from 7am Saturday morning. TRADER VEHICLES Exhibitors are permitted to park in the support vehicle park on Friday and/or Saturday at the northern end of the venue or the Officials, Traders, Camping Entrants car park. They will be given a Traders vehicle sticker. NO TRAILER OR SUPPORT VEHICLE ACCESS AFTER 9PM FRIDAY UNTIL 10PM ON SATURDAY - NO EXCEPTIONS.

SETUP INSIDE BAY ALLOCATION On entry into the venue you will need to be aware of your bay allocation. This is where you will be stationed for Motorvation, including where you will camp. As you can imagine, the task of allocating where each entrant, club and group at Motorvation is a tricky one and sometimes there can be difficulties in trying to meet the requirements of all concerned. As such we ask for your understanding and flexibility throughout this process. Pit paddock layouts can be viewed at www.motorplex.com.au/motorvation ENTRANT MARQUEES Maximum marquee size: 200m2 (without a permit) For any entrants who are setting up marquees, please note, there is a maximum marquee size of 200m2, as laid down by City of Kwinana council. Therefore, any marquees, such as: 21m x 10m - will NOT BE PERMITTED. Formula Tech Performance Park The Formula Tech Performance Park display area is where the majority of our entrants display. It s fully grassed with a number of power boxes spread throughout the area giving access to 10 amp power. An average of 25m2 per vehicle is allocated between 3rd and 6th Avenue. Clubs and groups will be accommodated wherever possible.

SCRUTINEERING Who Is Required to go to Scrutineering? All Burnout entrants All Megaskid Max entrants Any Motorvation entrant who wants to go in the Expression Session - after the burnouts. We need to make sure that any cars that in our driving events are safe. As such all vehicles must be examined prior to competing. Entry into the scrutineering building is from the eastern end (via South Avenue) and will take place in the left hand bays. In addition all entrants who are participating in either the driving events or the KFC Burnout Competition are required to sign an indemnity and will be issued with a wristband (photo ID is required). The same applies for crew members accompanying a burnout competitor into the Snake Pit. The wristband must not be taken off until the completion of the competition. Any person not having a driving event wristband on will not be able to participate and may be disqualified. PASSENGERS If you are participating in our KFC Burnout Competition and want a passenger you need to make sure that they sign an indemnity, wear the right wristband and are afforded the same level of safety as the driver (helmet, clothing, seat, seat belt etc). Passengers are not permitted for the other driving events. WHAT ARE THEY CHECKING FOR? Vehicle roadworthiness (steering, brakes, seats, seat belts, fluid leaks, fluid containment, wheel nuts, tyres, adequate muffling etc). Driver (and passenger) protection including helmet, long sleeves, long pants, enclosed footwear. NOTE: Random breath testing WILL be conducted during the event. Any alterations to the vehicle after it has been scrutineered must be advised prior to competing. Any Entrant that has made alterations to a vehicle that is deemed a breach of the safety regulations will be excluded from competing. WHAT TO BRING? FORMULA TECH PERFORMANCE PARK The Audio Precision Sound Off is a chance for car audio enthusiasts to show what their car audio equipment is capable of in a competitive environment amongst some of the best noise makers WA has to offer. This year Audio Precision is in charge with a battle style competition pitting car against car. Competitors will first be divided up into different classes based on the level of equipment in each vehicle. During the battle competitors will fire up their sound systems simultaneously running the same audio track and will be tested over a 30 second period to see whose car has the highest average SPL (sound pressure level). TRADERS ALLEY No car show is complete without representation from the automotive industry nor companies catering for the car enthusiasts of Western Australia. Located in the air conditioned Traders Alley is the place to go for all your after-market needs. CRUISIN BAR The Cruisin Bar will be open from 11am to 10pm on Saturday. This year, we will have the Show n Shone judging right beside the bar. On the other side - the Superscreen. So, anyone can chill in the bar, check out everything on the Superscreen - and see all the cool cars from the comfort of the bar area. Car enthusiasts wanted more cruising - they have got more cruising.

SUPER CRUISE Six Hours of cruising is slated between 10am and 4pm. Then, there is one final Smooth Cruise around 5pm. Driving is the GO element of the Motorvation, show! Each year, more entrants are keen to actually participate and drive their machines and we provide plenty of opportunities for this. Super Cruise: A six kilometre course starting in the pits and heading down the drag strip and back again. This is a chance to display your car in all it's moving glory. The Super Cruise allows burnouts in specific areas and you may get a little exuberant - though safety is always a priority. Only one passenger (over 16 years old) is permitted. SUPERCRUISE BASICS One passenger per vehicle, over the age of 16-years Wheels: Cars need to have similar colour wheels front and rear. This system is set up that a competitor can have multiple sets of rear wheels and tyres ready to go. Each entrant is asked to make an effort to get the front and rear rims the similar colour. Wheels for Super Cruise: Cars need to have similar colour wheels front and rear. That is, if a Super Cruise entrant has chrome dress rims on the front, they need to have silver-coloured wheels on the rear. If an entrant has black front wheels, they need to have black rims on the rear.

SUPER CRUISE MAP SUPERCRUISE DOS and DON TS Do not go down 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Avenues unless you are returning to your allocated pit area or you have been directed to do so by an official. Officials will allow one staging lane at a time on to the track, officials at the back of the staging lanes will direct you into a staging lane and will ensure there is no lane hopping.

SMOOTH CRUISE SMOOTH CRUISE: A more chilled out open cruising session on the Super Cruise route. You are allowed to have as many passengers that the car legally seats, but there is to be no spinning of tyres. Smooth cruise is open to people of all ages, including children. Young children must be in age-appropriate child seats (as per WA road rules). WA Child SMOOTH CRUISE BASICS No turning the tyres. No chirping the tyres. Nothing. It's a Smooth Cruise! As many passengers as the car can legally hold Front and rear wheels must be matching. That is, all four wheels are to be matching set. Open to people of all ages, including children WA Road Rules apply to children. If they require a child seat on WA Roads, they will require a child seat during the cruise.

RIDING IN THE BACK OF UTES RIDING IN THE BACK OF UTES Ute drivers must be aware of the increased dangers associated with passengers in the back of utes, and the likelihood of serious injury or worse. Ute drivers are responsible for their passengers at all times. Passengers (Over 16) may ride in weld-body ute backs during General Cruising or Smooth Cruise, providing the ute has a Safety Aware Ute Sticker attached. Safety Aware Ute Stickers are available from Scrutineering shed after attending a safety talk at 9:30am or 11am. No Sticker - No people in the back Any ute caught driving with people in the back without a sticker will result in instant removal from premises. Passengers must remain seated at all times, and keep arms and legs within confines of vehicles. Driver must operate vehicle in an appropriate (safe) manner if passengers are in ute back. Vehicles have a maximum speed limit of 30kph. All Ute owners wishing to take people in the back must attend a mandatory 5-minute safety talk at either: 9:30am, or 11:00am New rules applying to passengers in rear of weld body utes.

GENERAL CRUISING GENERAL CRUISE: Drive around the Formula Tech Performance Park area during the allocated times. All roads are one way please see following maps for cruise routes. GENERAL CRUISING DOS & DON TS Please adhere to the directions shown on the General Cruising map (next page). Cruising can only take place between the hours displayed in the schedule General cruising will recommence when Super Cruises have finished. Engines must not be started after 10pm each night or before 8.30am each morning. Cruising is one way at all times! Keep the speed down and drive responsibly around families and children. There is a ZERO alcohol policy for those driving at Motorvation. Random breath testing will take place during the event. No spinning of tyres, donuts etc including grassed areas. Be mindful of other vehicles. Bonnets and mufflers on at ALL times during the event. Above all please abide by the direction of the officials. Keep the speed down and drive responsibly around families and children.

MEGASKID MAX Megaskid Max is a high-dollar mega skid competition at 4pm on Saturday. Competitors will have an opportunity for a practice shake-down run to hone their straight-line cranking-it-up burnout skills down the drag strip - prior to the competition beginning around 4:30pm. MEGASKID MAX PRIZEMONEY First: $1,500 plus trophy Second: $750 plus trophy Third: $500 plus trophy. STAGING LANES $30 (for existing entrants) Staging Lane 3: For Practice Go straight to Staging Lane 3 if you want one or two practice shots at the Megaskid before the competition. The burnout battle is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm with NA Open burnouts vying for the $2,000-to-win, with Blown burnouts commencing around 7:45pm for the $10,000- to-win. EXPRESSION SESSION EXPRESSION SESSION After Blown Burnouts is complete, we shall run an Expressions Session, which is for: Any burnout competitor who wishes to have another crack at the pad Any Motovation entrant (even if not entered in the burnouts). However, the car (and competitor safety items) must be scrutineered and approved for burnouts. A sticker will be applied to windscreen verifying approved for burnouts.
