STAFFORDSHIRE ARCHERY COACHING GROUP (CCO Report for County Meeting 09th May 2013) Coach Training As mentioned earlier in January I will look at the feasibility of organising either a Level 1 or Level 2 course a bit later in the year, but only one or the other. The Level 2 Syllabus was published in Archery UK and will be tutored similar to L1. This will have a significant effect on costs and could prove an expensive venture unless a cheap venue is found and the candidates are able to get help with fees etc? Coaching Conference It finally happened, Saturday 27th April. Went well the day with 13 coaches attending including four County Coaches (two from Worcester and two from Stratford). I started with a refresher on basic anatomy which was followed by a talk on fitness training (as used on our Junior Squad) and performance coaching as used on the Academy. A thank you has to go Lara McCarthy and Julia Brooks for all their help. Coaching Group Meetings The AGM will be held on Wednesday 25th September 2013. There will be a General Meeting on Wednesday 26th March 2014. Robin Hall (CCO & Senior Coach) rjhall@supanet.com Page 1 of 1
