Announcements 1.1 Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship is organised and administered jointly by Manx Auto Sport and Druidale Motor Club in accordance with these Championship Regulations. 1.2 The Organisers reserve the right to add or amend qualifying events and/or dates as necessary, subject to MSA Blue Book regulation D11. 1.3 The Organisers of the qualifying events retain the sole right to select and accept entries. The Championship promoters cannot be held responsible for the refusal of an entry. 1.4 It is the Competitors responsibility to obtain qualifying event regulations and apply for entries. 1.5 The Organisers reserve the right to issue additional information clarifying items in or relating to these regulations. All such information will be issued in an official bulletin which will be sent to all registered competitors. 1.6 Points and positions will be published shortly after each event on www.manxrc.com, and may also be displayed on the Druidale Motor Club website, www.druidalemc.org.im, and Manx Auto Sport via www.manxautosport.org. They may additionally be sent to all registered competitors to their registered e-mail address. 1.7 The Championship points will be awarded as per the details in Article 6. 2. Registration 4.1 Only members of either Manx Auto Sport or Druidale Motor Club may be registered as competitors for the Championship. 4.2 Competitors will be deemed to be registered for the Championship by entering any qualifying round, subject to Article 4.4 4.3 Drivers and Co-drivers may not disclaim or transfer points scored on any qualifying round. 4.4 The crew of any competing vehicle is restricted to two persons, who shall be entered as driver or codriver. A competing car may not carry more than one co-driver (passenger). 5. Eligibility 5.1 Classes : Class A Expert Class B Non-Expert 5.2 Classes are based upon experience. 5.3 A crew (driver and co-driver) must enter the same class on a qualifying round. 5.4 Any crew may enter Class A. 5.5 Any competitor who has finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall on any qualifying round as a co-driver during the last 2 full calendar years (2012-2013 inclusive), and enters a qualifying round as a co-driver, will be precluded from eligibility for Class B (Appendix 1a)). 5.6 The Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship Class B Champion driver and co-driver for the last calendar year will be precluded from eligibility for Class B (Appendix 1b)). 5.7 Any competitor who finished in the top three positions of the Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship Class B in both of the last two calendar years will be precluded from eligibility for Class B (Appendix 1c)). 6. Scoring There will be two separate classifications: 6.1 The Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship, open to all registered competitors. 6.2 The Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship (non-experts), open only to crews contesting any qualifying round in Class B. 6.1 The Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship 6.1.1 Points will be allocated to the highest placed Driver and Co-driver in overall classification on each qualifying round: Winner - 15 points Second - 12 points Third - 10 points Fourth - 8 points Fifth - 6 points then deleting one point per placing down to one point awarded to tenth place in the final classification. 6.1.2 If there are more than ten Class A finishers then each finisher after tenth place will be awarded one point.

6.1.3 If there are fewer than ten Class A crews in the final classification of any qualifying round, the remaining points available will be awarded to Class B crews in final classification order down to tenth overall. 6.2 The Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship (non-experts) 6.2.1 Points will be allocated to the highest placed Driver and Co-driver in the Class B (non-experts) classification on each qualifying round: Winner - 15 points Second - 12 points Third - 10 points Fourth - 8 points Fifth - 6 points then deleting one point per placing down to one point awarded to tenth place and all other finishers in the final classification. 6.3 Points earned by any individual competitor as a Driver and Co-driver cannot be amalgamated. 6.4 The Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship points cannot be amalgamated with points awarded for the Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship, or vice versa. 6.5 Registered Competitors are eligible to score points on all rounds of the championship. 6.6 Registered Competitors best 6 out of 8 rounds will be used to calculate the final classification. In the event of fewer than 8 rounds being run, Article 10.1 shall apply. 6.7 Non-finishes and non-starts are counted as zero s. 6.8 An event that is cancelled will not be classed as a possible event, other than for assistance (Article 8) at the discretion of the Championship Co-ordinator. 6.9 Championship officials retain the right to re-allocate points earned by a competitor who does not complete the assistance requirement of these regulations (Article 8). 7. Publication of Classification 7.1 Provisional Championship points will be published within seven days following the publication of Final Results on www.manxrc.com. They may also be available on the Druidale Motor Club website, www.druidalemc.org.im, and Manx Auto Sport via www.manxautosport.org, and may additionally be sent to all registered competitors to their registered e-mail address. 8. Obligation of assistance with the organisation of a Qualifying Round 8.1 To be eligible for any position in the Final Championship Classification, each competitor must have assisted in the organisation of at least one qualifying round during that year. An individual cannot compete on the qualifying round(s) on which they satisfy this requirement. This will be determined by the individual undertaking one or more of the following Official roles on at least one qualifying round, as confirmed to the Championship Co-ordinator by the Clerk of the Course of that event: Clerk of the Course Secretary of the Meeting Chief Marshal Chief Timekeeper Other persons may be eligible to have complied with the regulation provided that the Clerk of the Course confirms to the Championship Co-ordinator that they have carried out one or more of the following tasks for that event: Measuring the route Production of route instructions Production of marshals instructions Assistance with results Carried out at least 25% of public relations work in connection with the event 8.2 The Clerk of the Course shall be required to provide a list of those persons who have complied with this regulation to the Championship Co-ordinator by no later than the Wednesday following the running of the qualifying round.

(NB It is hoped that competitors will comply with the spirit of assistance, for example JUST being in course car or manning time controls does not qualify on its own). 9. Alteration to Event Format 9.1 Should it prove impossible to run any round of the Championship in its entirety for any reason, provided that the organisers draw up a Final Official Classification, points will be awarded normally. 10. Cancellation of a Qualifying Round 10.1 In the event of one or more Championship events being cancelled, registered competitors will count the total number of possible event scores, less their lowest two scores towards their final Championship total. This will be the case until four or less rounds make up the championship at which point all rounds will count. 11. Ties 11.1 If a tie should exist at the season end, it will be decided in favour of the competitor with the greatest number of highest point s scores, then second highest, third highest and so on down to tenth place on the events that made up the competitors final total. 11.2 Should article 11.1 not resolve the tie, it will be decided in the favour of the competitor with the highest points allocation on the first qualifying round that all competitors concerned started. 11.3 Should article 11.2 not resolve the tie, the position shall be tied. 11.4 This tie-decider applies to the Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship and the Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship. 12. Championship Awards 12.1 To the Overall winner (Driver): Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship Cup (perpetual) and a replica. To the Overall winner (Co-Driver): Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship Cup (perpetual) and a replica. To the Overall Class B winner (Driver): Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship (perpetual) and a replica. To the Overall Class B winner (Co-Driver): Class B Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship (perpetual) and a replica. 13. Awards Presentation 13.1 The presentation 2012 Championship Awards will be made at the 2014 Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation unless otherwise notified to all registered competitors in a subsequent Bulletin. 14. Enforcement of these regulations 14.1 Disputes regarding these regulations will be settled by the Stewards in accordance with the MSA regulations, these regulations and any additional relevant information issued by either body. 14.2 Any appeals regarding interim results issued after each round must be addressed to the Championship Co-ordinator within 7 days of the results being issued. (See MSA regulation C6.5.1 for Appeals) 14.3 The date of issue shall be taken as the date of posting on either the Druidale Motor Club or Manx Auto Sport website. Appendix 1a) 5.5 Any competitor who has finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall on any qualifying round as a co-driver during the last 2 full calendar years (2012-2013 inclusive), and enters a qualifying round as a co-driver, will be excluded from eligibility for Class B. Luke Tunney Appendix 2 Obligations on event organisers 1. The proposed route must be presented to the Route Liaison Officer a minimum of four weeks (preferably more) prior to the event. 2. Provisional Results should be sent to the Points Administrator on the day of issue, with further confirmation when declared Final. 3. The Clerk of the Course shall be required to provide a list of those persons who have complied with the assistance regulation (Article 8) to the Championship Co-ordinator by no later than the Wednesday following the running of the qualifying round.

Appendix 3 Club Championships 1a) Druidale Motor Club will promote a championship made up of the events they promote. 1b) Manx Auto Sport will promote a championship made up of the events they promote. 2. Each club shall nominate their own Championship Officials. 3. Each championship will have Class A and Class B in accordance with these regulations. 4. Each championship shall count the best 3 scores from 4 qualifying rounds. In the event that fewer than 4 qualifying rounds are held, the promoting club will make an announcement regarding how many scores will count. 5. Scoring will be as Article 6.1 and 6.2 6. To be eligible for an award from either club a competitor must have complied with the assistance requirement (Article 8) during the Isle of Man Navigational Rally Championship in the year for which the award is considered.
