ATTENTION ALL KMCC MEMBERS Due to changes by NCCC, this is the process we each need to go through to receive our 2018 NCCC membership cards. Once successful just print and laminate. The end of this where it says =<<MemberKey>> is where you enter your NCCC number. Be sure you include the dashes so your membership number should read MW-084-0000. Please don't let me know it didn't work until after you have attempted a few times and consulted aid from your IT family member. I'm sending this with my fingers crossed. Copy the follow link into your browser (Explorer, Chrome, etc.) replacing the red portion with your own NCCC number. https://www.corvettesnccc.org/ncccmemberdatabase/membershipcards/members hipcard.php?ncccnumber=mw-084-0000 or Click on the link below to go directly to the full NCCC Instructions for printing your own card. 2018 CORVETTE PRODUCTION STATS In case you missed the 2018 statistics for Corvette production, here they are: In what was one of the shortest model years, a total of 9,686 Corvettes were produced. Production started June 5, 2017 and ends January 28, 2018. The plant was down for three months, making the 2018 model year approximately 5 months. Here s how the options panned out: 39.3% Stingrays; 31.8% Grand Sport; 28.9% Z06 17.5% of Corvettes built were convertibles Automatic transmissions outsold manuals once again at 78%. The 1LT package was most popular for Stingray Coupes, while the 2LT was the top pick for Stingray Convertibles and Grand Sports. The 3LZ was again the most popular for Z06 models. Almost 30% of Z06s opted for the Z07 performance package. Arctic White once again topped the list as most popular color, and for the first time in several years when you add the two reds together, they don t beat out white (just barely though)! Here s how the percentages panned out, in order of popularity: Arctic White 20.3% Black 16.3% Torch Red 14% Watkins Glen Gray 11.5% Ceramic Matrix Gray 11.3% Admiral Blue 7.3% Long Beach Red 6.2% Blade Silver 5.9% Corvette Racing Yellow 4.1% Black Rose 2.3% Sebring Orange.8% Deliveries of Corvettes were 89% U.S., 6% Canada; 3.5% Europe; and the remaining 1.5% to Mexico, Japan and the Mideast. The Museum delivered 88 Corvettes through the R8C Delivery program. (Presented by the National Corvette Museum) 12

FROM THE EDITOR: By David Modra Back in the early 70 s, cities and villages asked the KMCC to provide cars for their local parades. Betty and I recently found these pictures of one of those such events. The pictures below are from a 4th of July parade in Sheboygan Falls or Sheboygan, I believe, not sure which one. (If someone knows, please let me know.) The first one is me driving my 70 454 coupe. The second picture is Bob Brandt driving his 68 L88 coupe, both emblazoned with the KMCC logo taped to the side. Back then we also had smaller KMCC logos to tape to the antennas (that s when cars still had antennas). After a few parades, we soon found out that big blocks were not meant for parades. Between the overheating and the extra stiff clutch, by the time we got to the end, the left leg was ready for a massage. Not sure who took these pictures or who gave them to me, but I thank you, who ever you are. If anyone has any other vintage pictures that they would like published, please send them to me and I ll see what I can do. Next month; A few pics from the original Corvette Corral. 15
