JOINING M RACE I have known Petrus for many years regarding professional cycling and as a friend. Petrus decided to use his talents and knowledge to start a cycling coaching centre. Early 2015 I joined M Race to guide its athletes to a local and national competitive level. I join M Race athletes on training rides and training camps to give them valuable advice for competitive riding. It gives benefits them so that on race day they are prepared. Still keeping in mind to have fun on bikes and to enjoy the sport. I am the owner of a cycling shop, Summit Bikes. I give M Race athletes advice on cycling equipment and the best possible deals on components. I appreciate the support they have given me and return the favour through my athlete guidance. I have plans for 2017 to race full-time as a professional cyclist again and have already started my training. I am privileged to receive professional help from Matthew Foxtrot, a skilled physiotherapist. Matthew has given me a structured cross-fit program to give me the upper edge. The same applies to other M race athletes who have benefited from this additional training. Racing and travelling with the M Race athletes to the SA XCO nationals will be one of my goals. I am confident they will learn a lot from me as a professional rider. To be associated with your company and M Race will be a honour to me.
