Dear Skaters, Coaches, Parents, and Friends, Tri -State League Meet The Eastern Region Artistic Coaches Association is pleased to announce that we are hosting our fall competition to be held Sunday morning, at in South Amboy, NJ. Competition will be geared towards the newer and upcoming skaters. We are offering A, B, C and Adult Intro events in Figures, Singles and Creative Solo. We hope this format will give coaches and skaters an opportunity to compete in a less expensive and more relaxed atmosphere. For the 2018-2019 Season, we have changed the music and requirements for Eastern Region Youth Development Program. Rules of Entry: All USARS rules will be observed, except as noted. USARS Membership: All contestants must have current USA Roller Sports membership Membership Rules: All skaters must hold a current 2019 USA Roller Skating Full Membership card if they are registering in official USARS events. (Youth Level A, B events, Elite Events or Adult Events). Skaters registering in just Eastern Region Youth Development Program Events and Intro Events may skate with a Development USA Roller Sports Membership ($10.00). Skaters who have a Limited USA Roller Sports Membership ($45.00) may compete in these events and may also skate in Level C Events. All Level A and B, Elite and Adult Division event skaters MUST have a Full $80.00 Membership to USA Roller Sports or a Single Event Membership for this contest to compete in these events. AGE ELIGIBILITY is determined by the skater s age on January 1, 2019. Awards: Unique medals with neck ribbons will be presented for first through third places. Participation medals awarded to all YDP skaters Challenge up and Cross Over: Due to expansive offering and time constraints, we will not offer challenge up events at this meet. Creative Solo for this competition is open for all ages and is Co-Ed. Intro Level events are for those skaters who have never competed at the National Championships in the same discipline. Final Events: Due to the nature of the contest all events will be final events. Unofficial Event Rules: Eastern Region Youth Development Program Events: Please Refer to the www.erusars.org web page (Contest Page) Intro Events: An open event for skaters who have never competed in a National Championship in that artistic event. Skaters who exceed the skill level of Intro will be asked to register in Level C, B or A Standard divisions in future competitions. There will be three age groups as follows: (Age as of 1/1/2019) Primary Intro 8 years old and under (Figures, Freestyle) Youth Intro 9 to 15 years old (Figures, Freestyle) Adult Intro - 16 years old and older (Figures, Freestyle) Intro Free Skating Rules: Time: Maximum of two minutes Music: Any music may be used, including vocal, as long as content is deemed appropriate. Content: Maximum of 5 jumps. Half or single jumps only. May only include one combination jump, which will count as one jump. Maximum of 3 upright spins. May only include one combination spin, which will count as one spin. No camel or sit spins. Content restrictions: 1½ revolution jumps and sit spins are beyond the skill level of the Intro divisions and will not be scored if attempted. Note: If the skater can do this content they should not be registering in this event.

Open Freestyle Events: Skated Co-ed and the following three groups: Designated by Levels A, B, C Open Primary A: For skaters that skate Primary level. Time: 2:00 max time Open Juvenile/Elementary: For skaters that skate Juvenile and Elementary levels. Time: B level at 2:30 max, C level at 2:00 max A Level Short Program Requirement 2:00 ± 5 sec Open Fresh/Soph: For skaters that skate Fresh/Soph and Sophomore levels. Time: B level at 2:30 max, C level at 2:00 max A Level Short Program Requirement 2:30 ± 5 sec B and C Levels: These events will have no content restrictions. Short Program: Juvenile/Elementary A (12 and under) o Axel jump (single) o Jump combination (2 to 4 jumps, singles and doubles allowed) o Solo jump (single or double, cannot be axel) o One position spin (camel and sit positions allowed) o Combination spin which must include a sit spin (max 5 positions, camel and sit positions allowed) o Sequence of World Skate footwork Short Program: Freshman/Sophomore A (13 and up) o Axel jump (single or double) o Jump combination (2 to 4 jumps, can include single, double, and triple jumps) o Solo jump (single, double, or triple, cannot be axel) o One position spin o Combination spin which must include a sit spin (max 5 positions) o Sequence of World Skate footwork Red Requirements Requirements and Order (New this season) Skates to designated Red Event music see www.erusars.org for new requirements and music download 1.
