The organising committee is calling out for anyone who may be coming to the Nationals as a non-player who would be keen to help out during the competition to help at the score desk to ensure that players can use their non-playing time to relax and unwind. We will work around their schedule and commitments. An hour of volunteer time a day adds up over the entire comp. Any interested parties are asked to contact the event manager on uwhnationals2018@gmail.com. Puck The official tournament puck will be the Simms Puck. Pucks will be made available for warm ups and are to remain at each court s scoring bench when not in use. Teams may also supply their own pucks for warmups but must either be the Simms puck or the super soft orange puck. No other pucks are to be used in the pool at any time. Filming We are aiming to setup a live youtube stream as per the recent Hobart Worlds for at least 1 and hopefully 2 courts throughout the competition. To make this run as smoothly as possible, teams will be rostered onto filming duties just as they would be to scoring duties. We are also looking for a volunteer with expertise in this area from any state who can manage the operation of this. Please contact uwhnationals2018@gmail.com if you are interested or know someone that might be. Referees As in previous years, the intention is to use as many Non-Playing Referees as possible. Due to the logistics of running 3 courts simultaneously, we request that any players that are also interested in refereeing a few games over the tournament please make themselves known. For any questions regarding referees please contact Craig Mackenzie - craig.mackenzie@uwa.edu.au Referee Course If enough interest is shown, a Level 1 and/or Level 2 Referee Course may be held prior to the beginning of the National Championships. States will be asked to express interest at a later date.
