Designed by champion Australian golfing icon, Greg Norman, the course is typical of his trademark aggressive layouts offering golfers a challenging round of golf within visually stunning surrounds. The Glades greens are unique to any other golf course on the Gold Coast and will ensure a superior putting surface all year round as they consist of a new type of Creeping bent grass that offers a true putting surface and is the preference of professionals and amateurs alike. The Glades is a par 72, 6431 meter championship course that spans 65 hectares of land. Greg Norman is renowned for his bunkering worldwide and the Glades does not disappoint with a total of 98 bunkers. Greg not only had a vision to create a challenging golf course on the Gold Coast, but he also retained 9 hectares of wetland area to create a natural wildlife sanctuary within the course. 1
Entry fee for the tournament will be $400 which will include the following: 3 Rounds of Golf at a prestigious Greg Norman designed golf course at Robina on the Gold Coast; Golf Cart included in all 3 rounds of golf; Registration gift bag which includes a luxury Tournament shirt, hat and extra golfing goodies; Thursday will see Lunch and dinner provided for all players; Friday breakfast and gourmet burgers will be supplied for lunch; Saturday breakfast will be provided; Presentation night to be held at The Croatian Sports Centre - 181 Nerang Broadbeach Road, Carrara QLD 4211 where dinner will be provided. A band will also be included to help celebrate the tournament; Overnight bag storage available at The Glades GC; Free Driving Range balls will be provided (1 small bucket per player); The ever popular Rakija hole on an allocated Par 3; Early Registration will be held on Wednesday 9 th May between 6-10pm at the Croatian Sports Centre, 181 Nerang Broadbeach Rd, Carrara. 2
TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE The field will be limited to 132 players and be split into 3 even grades - A, B and C grades. Day 1 - All players to play both Stroke & Stableford events. Players who make the Cut after Day 1 (Stroke - Green Jacket eligible) will still be eligible for the Stableford Event. All 3 days will count using Stableford Points and Rules for all players. As per Auscro rules all players will require an official AGU handicap to compete for the following events: Green Jacket (overall Stroke winner) Blue Jacket (overall Stableford points winner) Gold Jacket (55yrs and over) (overall Stableford points winner) Ambassadors Cup (Interstate teams event) A, B and C grade daily Stableford winners Al players including non AGU handicap holders will be eligible for the following events: A, B and C grade longest drive winners daily 1 allocated hole per day Drive and Pitch winners daily 1 allocated hole per day Nearest the Pin winners daily all Par 3 holes Prizes will also be awarded to all grade winners and runners up for each day. 3
During the Tournament we will be allocating 2 Par 3 holes which will feature the following prizes: The Golf Skate Caddy (pictured below) valued at $4,850 and $1000 cash on the second hole. Prizes will be applicable for the 1 st Hole in One recorded on each allocated hole across the 3 days.
