Fees for the Teen Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo Contest are $50 per contestant. Teen Miss Crossett PRCA RodeoQueen Pageant Rules & Regulations August 9-12, 2017 Rules and Regulations: **********Applications Due July 15, 2017********** 1. The contestant must not be less than 13 years of age nor more than 17 years of age at the time of the beginning of the Teen Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo Queen Pageant. 2. The contestant shall never have been married, have had a child, or have minor dependents. 3. The contestant must be a United States Citizen. 4. The contestant must not have been convicted or charged of a felony or misdemeanor. 5. There is NO mileage restriction to run for the contest. 6. Contestants will be required to participate in the rodeo parade on Wednesday afternoon and all four performances of the rodeo. A full schedule of the week s required appearances will be sent to you prior to rodeo week. 7. After winning Teen Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo Queen the contestant must sign a contract stating the she will represent NO other title other than ours. Teen Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo will receive a crown and sash. Teen Miss Crossett PRCA Rodeo must attend any and all events that are sponsored by the Crossett Riding Club, including but not limited to- the next year s rodeo at any and all rodeo related activities, PRCA Rodeo school, youth rodeo, and queen clinics. We also encourage representation of the title at any and all local and national functions that promote the great sport of rodeo. 8. Contestants must decline all personal invitations during the pageant. 9. Contestants must not fraternize with the opposite sex during the course of the pageant. Brothers and Fathers not withstanding. 10. Judges determination for the contest is FINAL. 11. Contestants will abide by all official pageant directives.
JUDGING Horsemanship 1. Patterns will be given after application is submitted. 2. Patterns will be judged according to how well the pattern is executed i.e. circle size, speed, stops, how well the rider can display her horsemanship ability. 3. Horsemanship is 30% of the pageant. 4. No gloves or chaps are permitted. 5. You will be allowed to ask questions to the judges prior to the starts of the horsemanship competition. Speech 1. Speech topic will be given after application is submitted. 2. Time limit for speech is 1-2 minutes and timing maybe enacted at judges discretion. 3. Speeches will be judged on i.e. voice projection, presentation of speech, following topic, and personality. 4. Impromptu questions will follow speech. 5. Impromptu question will be given from the following categories: Personality, Knowledge of the PRCA and Current Events. 6. Speech will be 20% of the pageant. Interview 1. There will be a 10 minute time frame on personal interviews. 2. Personality questions as well as PRCA rodeo knowledge will be asked during interview. 3. Judging of interview will be i.e. how you answer the questions, personality, knowledge of the questions, and how you handle yourself. 4. Interviews will be worth 20% of the pageant. Appearance 1. Western attire must be worn at the entire time of the pageant i.e. button down shirts with collars, western themed dresses, hats and boots at all times. 2. When in the arena, if wearing a collared shirt, sleeves must be down, hat and jeans MUST be worn. Arena wear should reflect western theme. 3. For the modeling portion of the pageant formal western wear is required, skirts or dresses, etc. but no pants please. 4. Please keep in mind this is a PRCA rodeo where Wrangler and Justin are large sponsors, this will be taken into consideration when judging takes place. 5. We are aware of the changing style in the rodeo queen world. We are happy to let our judges be aware of these changing styles, but all outfits must reflect western theme. 6. Appearance will be 30% of total score of the pageant.
