LETTER FROM WAKO MEXICO PRESIDENT Dear Friends, To WAKO Mexico is a great honor and pride to present the 10 th Pan- American Kickboxing Championships, which will take place this year from October 23 rd to 28 th, 2018; having as host one of the most beautiful tourist destination in the world: Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico. We are pleased to invite you coaches, judges and athletes of the American Continent to this great party of our beautiful sport "Kickboxing", where the best competitors in Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light, Musical Forms, Full Contact, Low Kick and K1, they will give appointment with their National Team looking to put up the name oftheir country. GENERAL INFORMATION TATAMI DATE: From Tuesday 23 rd until Sunday 28 th, October, 2018. PLACE: BARCELÓ MAYA GRAND RESORT. CATEGORIES: Point Fighting Light Contact Kick Light Musical Forms Point Fighting Teams RING Full Contact Low Kick K-1 COMPETITOR ENTRY FEE: One division: 60 USD. Additional division: 60 USD. Point Fighting Team: 200 USD. Spectator * (access to the entire event): 60 USD. *For those who has accommodation at the host hotel, access to the entire event is free. ATHLETE: All athletes, coaches and judges must stay at the host hotel, is obligatory. Accommodation must be at least 6 days & 5 nights; the hotel rate will be respected 3 days before and 3 days after the event. - The athlete must be part of its Kickboxing National Team. -Tatami athletes could participate in one or more categories: Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light and Musical Forms. - Ring athletes could participate just in one category: Full Contact, Low Kick or K1. -Up to two athletes per country could participate in each category and weight division. Athletes will compete according their age on the day of competition registration. AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to the first, second and two third places for each division, according to the Olympic Awards: Gold, silver and 2 bronzes. * The dress code to receive the award is with the uniform or pants of the National Team. 15
GENERAL INFORMATION RULES: The competition will be governed by WAKO IF rules. ClicK HERE to download them. SAFETY: Athlete must have the complete personal protection equipment mentioned in WAKO IF Rules according to the category he/she will participate. Athletes should provide a medical certification (not longer than 30 days) signed by authorized Doctor, in which it is stated that prior to leaving his/her country the athlete was in good physical condition and not suffering from any injury, infection or disability label to affect his/her capacity to compete in the 10th Panamerican Kickboxing Championships. It must be delivered on Tuesday 23 rd, October. COMPETITION REGISTRATION: Competition registration and payment must be done by WAKO National representative, through WAKO Mexico. ONLINE REGISTRATION will open on Monday 16 th, July and will close on Sunday 30 th, September. No competition registrations will be acceptable after that date! Each National WAKO President must make the registration of his National Kickboxing Team with the user and password which will be given. No athlete will be allowed to make his/her individual registration.
