YEARBOOK COVER DESIGN CONTEST Your artwork could be featured on the cover of our yearbook! One design from each grade, K-8, will be featured on the back of the 2015-2016 yearbook. One design from grades 6-8 will become the front cover! Requirements: Create your design on an 81/2 x 11 sheet of white (printer) paper. Your design must be original. You may use crayon, colored pencil, or marker. Please outline the drawing in black as much as possible to make sure your design is clear! Write your name (first and last) and your grade on the back of your design in pencil. Submit your design in the school office by Thursday, Nov. 12. How will we judge the winner? Mrs. Padellford, Ms. Hand, and Mrs. Nemetz will use the following criteria to choose one yearbook design from each grade level for the back of the yearbook: Saint Ambrose of Woodbury Catholic School 2015-2016 should be on the design (this is important!) Color enhances design; outlined in black for clarity Design is original Design is neat Design reflects the Saint Ambrose Way: Be creative! You might use pictures to show the Saint Ambrose Way instead of listing the main ideas with words. If you need paper, or have questions about this contest, please contact Mrs. Padellford.

Basketball sign up is now open! Sign up now to avoid the late fee. ATHLETIC NEWS We are looking for 5 th -8 th grade basketball coaches for our upcoming season. The commitment level could be about three nights a week. If you are interested, please e-mail me and let me know what grade and gender you are willing to coach. Volunteers needed. It is that time again where we are asking the parents and athletes to give back to the program and help us get new uniforms. It is through your support we can make our program better. We are hosting volleyball playoffs for three days after MEA. Oct 20, 22, and 23 from 4:00-8:00 pm. In the next few years our goal is to upgrade uniforms for all our teams. The money raised from these tournaments goes towards the cost of getting new uniforms for all teams. So it does not matter what sport your child plays right now, these tournaments helps the whole program. We need volunteers for numerous spots each night we are hosting playoffs. 1 working the Score Clock 2 working Admissions 2-4 working concessions. Last year, our basketball playoffs was a huge success. Parents had bonding times with their athletes and athletes had bonding times with each other by forming teams to work these events. It was nice that the athletes themselves were able to give back to the program. Please consider volunteering your time and help support the program.
