The USBC local association no longer is mandated to charge a certain amount for business services. The USBC association will have the opportunity to sell their business services to the bowling center for the value decided upon by both parties. This could include services for data processing, providing awards, providing coaching clinics, uniforms, etc. There are no more youth local dues for the 2017-2018 season, which includes dues caps. USBC associations are encouraged to operate their business as they see fit by pricing services accordingly and building quality local programming. This system is the first of its kind. USBC associations now can take advantage of a free-market setting by working with local centers and agreeing on a rate for services. One example: $10 to the center per child - $4 to national - $3 Processing the memberships and averages - $3 Delivery of an awards program This is one option, please keep in mind that USBC local Associations can price this any way they choose. Step 1 Research and organize your local Meet with your board and decide how you want to attack this and what products and services you would like to offer. Possibly drop a survey in the field to current youth members/parents and see what they think is important. Step 2 Ask your proprietor what thoughts they might have Schedule a meeting or phone call to discuss their thoughts. At this point, many proprietors will be unaware of the changes. You will need to lay out the program and talk to them about things they would like to offer. Get their thoughts and listen to what they think is needed. Step 3 Decide what you are offering and build a sales flier Put what you are selling to the center on paper in an easily understood message. An example of this can be found on page 8 of this manual. Step 4 Circulate the information to your centers Electronically send out the information and request a meeting or phone call with your centers to discuss what s possible. Step 5 Come to an agreement Come to a verbal agreement with the proprietor on what s needed, what will be delivered and set the expectation as to when the services will be delivered. Step 6 (OPTIONAL) Build and sign an agreement with the center This template has been built for your convenience: (http://usbcongress.http.internapcdn.net/usbcongress/bowl/youthresourcecenter/usbc-youth/membership/letterofagreementtemplate.pdf) An example of this can be found on page 8 of this manual.
