Payments for these exams are due by February 21. Payments received after that time will result in an additional late charge of $45.00 per exam. Please return the order sheet with payment. Checks are preferred and should be made out to Wellspring Prep.

The Michigan Merit Exam will be April 10 and 11, 2018. This includes the SAT, WorkKeys, and M-Step Science and Social Studies. More information about modified schedules for those days will be sent out in March. All Juniors need to participate in this testing. Students wishing to take the ACT need to schedule that on their own. We do not offer the ACT at Wellspring Prep. Most colleges will take a student s ACT or SAT score. Your student should verify with individual schools they are interested in to see if one or the other test is required. From the Office of College Advising: KCTC - If you are still interested in KCTC, be sure to check in with Ms. Van Skiver to schedule your site visit at KCTC as soon as possible. There are several visits this week. Open enrollment begins Friday February 2. After this date it is difficult to secure a spot. Please be mindful that students can only participate in KCTC if they are on track to graduate, with no credit deficits. SENIORS - You are doing a great job in turning in all your College Acceptances. If you haven t gotten one yet, or are having troubles with filling out the applications, please set up a time to meet with me or Mrs. Franks so we can help you through the process. Also- don t forget to turn in ALL scholarships offered to you. You are doing a really good job so far, as we are closing in on THREE million dollars in offered merit scholarships already! AMAZING! FAFSA - If you have not already completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) please take some time soon to get it finished. You can find the application at www.fafsa.gov. It is pretty quick and painless! FAFSA closes March 1. ~Ms. Allison Van Skiver, College and Career Readiness Counselor PTO - Our next PTO meeting is scheduled for Monday February 12 at 6:30 pm. Please come and see what good things are going on at our school! In addition, the PTO has 2 big events planned for the second semester which will be a lot of fun. First, the PTO is looking for your ideas, assistance with mailings and your business resources for our Senior Scholarship Auction in March. Please contact Karin Baker at 616-485-4724 or at joelandkarin@sbcglobal.net with any ideas, contacts or donation. Our second big event is Teacher Appreciation Week, which will be May 7-11. We welcome any creative and fun ideas to show appreciation for our fabulous staff here at Wellspring Prep! Please contact Tammi Van Til

at tvantil@comcast.net for more information. Parent participation is crucial to making these events run well. Just a couple hours of your time towards one of these events would be so helpful!
