Please consider purchasing your annual book from LPRC, with 20% of the proceeds going towards our fundraising. Three great reasons why this fundraiser is effective and easy: No upfront cost Entertainment Books and the new Entertainment Digital Memberships are provided to us on consignment. Each membership sells for only $65, and we keep $13 per Membership, which contributes to our fundraising goal! Memberships aren t sold to the general public, and people love the savings so much they will purchase year after year. If you would like a book, Helen has a couple left. Take a look at how the Entertainment Fundraiser is both easy and rewarding! https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/243a067 News Membership and Insurance for 2014 / 2015 Both are due at the beginning of the new financial year at the July Rally. You must pay your insurance to the Treasurer Jo Richardson before rally, or as soon as you arrive. Please note you must not saddle up or begin your day until you have paid. Jo will issue you a receipt upon payment, and then you may begin your day. Once you have paid you are insured! Insurance is again $70 for 2014 / 2015. Membership fees will be decided at the AGM later on during lunch time. Please also note that Pony Club Tasmania (PCT) has decided to collect a new levy to help with the cost of running State Trials each year. $5 per member will be collected to assist with the upgrading of XC courses in Tasmania. More info later! 2

PCT Tests Update from Test Co-ordinator Libby Walker Ashton, Alana and Kathryn have completed their practicals for their tests, and have successfully passed. Alana A Test Ashton B Test Kathryn B Test Congratulations riders! Contact Libby on 63273775 or walkerfamily25@bigpond.com for any queries. LPRC Annual General Meeting and Rally 27th July 2014 at WTPC, Gravelly Beach. Lunch time - all to attend in the hall! The Club s AGM is fast approaching, and as you know all the positions on the Committee become vacant for re-election. This year the District Commissioner Graeme Brown, Treasurer Jo Richardson, Secretary Liana Corbett and Chief Coach (Rally Co-ordinator) Jan Wakefield won t be available for re-election for any positions. So in short, there will be at least 4 vacancies which will urgently need consideration by other club volunteers. It would be great to get some of the newer club members and older riders on the committee and please have a think about what position you may like to take on. If you wish to be on the committee, you would be expected to commit to come to all committee meetings which are on the 2nd Thursday of each month in town. You should be able to actively participate in running your club. Have a chat to a committee member if you would like some more information. Hendra Virus Please be aware of this virus that affects horses and is very contagious. If you are heading interstate, you will be required to have your horse vaccinated in advance, so please consult you Vet as required. PCT and LPRC Calendar This year, more than ever, we have been presented with fewer options with regards to assembling our calendar. There are so many events we have to fit in with, including state planned events, that sadly there will be several clashes. Rest assured we are doing our best to manage the calendar in the best interests of our members, even if it may not seem so. If you do have any queries or suggestions please feel free to email or call us at any time. 3
