BEGINNING ROCK N TOTS Tots learn to skate while rocking to fun tunes on the ice! Students master sitting and standing with skates on, marching in place, moving forward, glides and dips. No class: December 25, January 2 KINDERBLADES A fun learn-to-skate program, tailored just for kindergarteners! Classes follow the Glencoe kindergarten school calendar and skaters are walked from South School. Please bring skates, lunch and a drink. Whether you are a hockey player, figure skater, or just a beginner, this class is great for improving skating skills through fun exercises and on-ice games. Our instructor walks students from school and supervises a snack, then assists with skating techniques. Participants enjoy 30 minutes of skills/ games and 30 minutes of individual practice. ICE SKATING INSTITUTE CLASSES Ice Skating Institute (ISI) created America s original learn-to-skate program, and has introduced more than 5 million individuals to the wonderful world of ice skating. ISI provides ice skating programs for skaters of all ages and abilities. TODDLER Introduce your child to ice skating in a nurturing, playful atmosphere. Our experienced instructors teach basic skating skills including falling properly, getting up alone, marching forward, wiggling backward and an introduction to forward swizzles. Children must be toilet trained. No class: December 23, 25, 30; January 1, February 12 PRE-ALPHA Instruction introduces the fundamentals of skating, focusing on basic skills while incorporating elements from higher levels. Players ages 21 and up are invited to form teams and compete for the Watts Men s Classic trophy. You must register as a team (up to five players) in person at Watts Ice Center, located at 305 Randolph Street. Individual registrations will not be accepted. Each player will receive a jersey; the winning team will receive a trophy. Register early, as only the first eight teams will be accepted to play in the tournament.

She has performed professionally throughout the United States and Italy. Toni s past positions include roles as a skating director, choreographer and a competitive coach. She specializes in Freestyle, Choreography, Power Skating, MIF, Off-Ice Conditioning, and Dance for Skating. Toni coaches United States Figure Skating (USFS) and Ice Skating Institute (ISI) competitive and recreational skaters. 9
Lace up your skates and celebrate your big event at Watts Ice Center! PARTIES AND ROOM RENTALS Celebrate your special event with a skating party! The recreation room accommodates up to 55 people, and tables and chairs are included. For more information or to make a reservation, please call Watts Center at (847) 835-4440. BASIC PARTY PACKAGE Our party package includes one hour of studio rink time and two hours in the recreation room! Basic Party: $250/275 R/NR FULL FACILITY RENTAL Watts Center full facility rentals are perfect for bar and bat mitzvahs, birthday parties, corporate outings, or family reunions. Rental includes use of both ice rinks, recreation room, lobby, kitchen, locker rooms, sound equipment, and one hour of set-up time before the party. Available: Fridays & Saturdays, 7-10:30 PM. Fee: $2,000 RINK RENTALS Use the main rink, studio rink, or recreation room for your next community event. Full payment and the completed Ice Rental Agreement Form must be returned to Watts Ice Center within 48 hours to confirm an ice rental. Ice time may not be placed on hold for any reason. Any rental fee under $500 must be paid in full within seven business days of booking space and no refund will be given for cancellations after seven business days. No damage deposit is required. For daily ice rentals, full payment is due at time of booking. No refunds will be given unless the park district cancels for mechanical, weather or wind chill policy. Watts Ice Center will cancel rentals when the wind chill factor drops to -20 Fahrenheit. At that time, a full refund will be processed, or rentals will be rescheduled (subject to availability). An additional $50 will be applied for rentals that require additional clean up, accrue damages, or run past the rental time.
