Rotate the safety catch and raise rope grab locking lever.. Position rope grab on the working rope.. Release safety catch and the lever. Then the rope is prevented from slipping out.. Attach oval type snap hook to the rope grab locking lever and then attach the snap hook to the front attaching point of safety harness. Make sure that the snap hook gate is closed and locked. 5. Slide the rope grab upwards, pulling it by snap hook to check that it runs freely; then rapidly pull it downwards and check that the rope grab immediately locks onto the working rope. Attention: The snap hook inserted into the locking lever hole is additional protection against accidental disconnection of the rope grab. It is impossible to take off the rope grab from the working rope without removing the snap hook from the locking lever. The rope grab must be attached to the safety harness only with a single oval type snap hook, without any additional elements. Fig. Fig. Fig. Fig. Fig. 5. The rope grab can be used only with ø8 mm steel wire ropes. safety catch locking lever BASIC RULES OF USING THE SYSTEM the must only be used by a person previously trained for working at height. the should be personal equipment and should be used by one worker. therescueoperationmustbeintroducedtoavoidanydanger thatcanhappenedduringusingtheequipment. before each use, a close visual examination of the system must be carried out in respect of mechanical, chemical and thermal defects. It is necessarily to check the tension of the working rope and correct functioning of the rope grab (see point 5 of INSTALLING THE ROPE GRAB ON THE WORKING ROPE ). The examination must be carried out by a person who is going to use the. In the case of any defect or doubt of correct condition of any component of SKR-BLOCK system do not use the system. The defective component must be taken out of service to make an inspection. The inspection must carried out by a manufacturer or his representative. using the, in connection with fall arrest system, must be compatible with manual instructions of the fall arrest systems and obligatory standards: - EN6 - for the safety harness; - EN6 - for the connectors. it is strictly forbidden to use the in the explosion zone. during using the must be protected from a contact with oils, acids, solvents, basics, open fire, hot metal drops and sharp edges. Don t use the system in geasy and dust laden environment. it is necessary to keep minimal clearance of m below the feet of the user to avoid collision with the ground or any construction in case of fall arresting. For the first meters the user may not be protected against hitting the ground and extra care should be taken when ascending or descending. the snap hook must be connected only to front attaching point of full body harness. It is strictly forbidden to attach the snap hook to the work positioning belt. structural anchor point to which will be connected working rope should be situated above working position and should has static resistance min. 5kN. The shape of the structural anchor point should not let self-acting disconnection of the rope. It is recommended to use certified and marked structural anchor point complied with EN 795.

Installation Manual Installation Manual 008 008 OF THE WORKING ROPE. Connect the upper end (equipped with a thimble) of the working rope (ref. AC 850) with working rope connector (ref. AC 900) or snap hook (ref. AZ0) to the structural anchor point. Structural anchor point should be situated above working position and should has static resistance min. 5kN. The shape of the structural anchor point should not let self-acting disconnection of the rope. It is recommended to use certified and marked structural anchor point complied with EN 795.. Connect the rope tensioner (ref. AC 90), using AZ 0snap hook, to the ground anchor point of the system.. Unbolt the tensioner to the maximal length.. Insert the down (free) end of the rope through the upper eye bolt of the tensioner. 5. With one of three screw clips make a loose loop of the working rope. 6. Tension the rope and simultaneously clamp installed screw clip with hand tool. 7. Install the rest of the screw clips in a distance 5cm from each other. 8. Using hand tool tension the working rope shortening (turning off) the tensioner. Protect locking screw of AZ 0connector with metal-bonding adhesive. Caution: For the working rope of the length above0m should be used the rope guide. For the working rope of the length which is a multiplicity of 0m the rope guide should be installed after each0m segment of the rope. For very long working ropes above 50m it is acceptable to tension the rope with two tensioners connected in series with AZ0snap hook with locking screw protected with metal-bonding adhesive. The distance between installed working rope and the ladder steps (5-5cm) shall not disturb sliding the rope grab on the rope. OF ROPE GUIDE. Install guide jaws on the ladder step. The main bolt of the guide should be situated in horizontal position.. Adjust the length of the main bolt to the distance between working rope and ladder step. The excess of the bolt can be cutted off. Attention: Working rope putted into the rubber holder must be straight line.. Tighten up the nuts for stable fastening the guide. OF THE WORKING ROPE.
