BCPS Area Dressage Qualifier Rules West Midlands, Worcestershire & Gloucestershire region area dressage qualifiers Finals to be held at the breed show 16th July 2016 Tests to be ridden at the finals 1. British dressage introductory b 2009 2. British dressage preliminary 18 2002 3. British dressage novice 24 2010 4. British dressage elementary 44 2002 Rules for qualifying rounds 2016 1. Open to registered pure bred, part bred and overheight ponies/horses 2. Introductory qualifier combination of pony/horse and rider not to have won at prelim level or above with a score of over 60%. With the exception of 4 year olds who have no restrictions 3. Preliminary qualifier combination of pony/horse and rider not to have won at novice level or above with a score of over 60%. 4. Novice qualifier combination of pony/horse and rider not to have won at elementary level or above with a score of over 60%. 5. Elementary qualifier combination of pony/horse and rider not to have won at medium level or above with a score of over 60%. 6. The first two ponies/horses in each section will qualify for the finals. Ponies/horses may only qualify once, qualification may go down the line no further than 6th placecallers are allowed at the qualifying rounds but not at the finals. 7. For qualifying rounds any test can be used within the levels. 8. Qualification cards to be sent with entries. Area show secretaries also to forward results to breed show secretary. FAQ: G/S/B - Which section? Gone are open and restricted sections! They have been replaced by three new sections; gold, silver and bronze. The three sections determine which route a horse can take through the levels depending on its level of ability and your ambition. For example, those competing in the bronze section are only eligible to qualify for Area Festivals, silver will have the option of Area Festivals (except prelim) or Regionals and gold will be exclusively for Regionals. For more info please see the British Dressage website. Rules 1. British Dressage Rules Apply 2. All horse to be aged 4yrs & over. 3. Horses may not be entered in more than three classes. 4. Horses entered in Class 6, may not enter classes 1, 2 or 3 5. Dogs must be kept on a secure lead at all times. 6. A hard hat to EN1384, PASOlS, prefixed ASTM or SEI must be worn & fastened at all times while mounted. American standard SNELL E2001 SNZ 3838 (Australasia) also allowed. Any rider found to be using a hat to a lower specification will be disqualified. 7. Neither the organisers of this event, nor any person acting on their behalf, the owners of the showground or agents acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. 8. Entry fees only refunded if the show is cancelled, classes are full. An administration fee may be taken from each competitor. 9. Cantering is allowed only in practice and competition areas. 10. The organisers reserve the right to combine or split classes according to entries with results determined on a percentage basis. 11. There will be a limited number of entries available in each class.
