SCHEDULE Friday 27 April 2018, Arrival Day All horses must have a valid passport and vaccinations up to date (in accordance with Rule 10 of the BD members handbook 2018 Page 22) Timetable 1200hrs Stables open to competitors. Stabling will be available from Thursday evening for those wishing to arrive early, an arena will be made available for general exercise on Friday Morning 1600hrs Trot up of all PHI Team horses. An order will be given on the day. Hard hats and suitable footwear must be worn. 1800hrs Chefs Meeting 1830hrs Opening Ceremony, Regions & Teams are encouraged to bring a team mascot and wear Team Clothing. The Riders Oath will be read and the competition formally opened. 1930hrs Fish & Chip Supper for all riders (FOC) 10 per head pre booked for supporters. Only pre-booked food can be accommodated on Friday night. Team briefings organised by your RDO or PARA Rep Prizes: Rosettes, sashes and trophies will be presented to the winning team of the two day competition. Rosettes will be presented to teams placed 2 nd 10 th place. Prizes from Equissage Pulse will be presented to the top three teams. Commemorative stable plaques for all competitors The Marian Bach Shield and the Kings Trophy will be awarded to the winning team ALL Competitors should attend prize giving; failure to do so may result in prizes being handed down to the next placed team. An Overall Individual Champion will be awarded from the two day competition for Grade 1 Grade 2 Grade 3 Grade 4 Grade 5 Sash and rosette awarded to the highest place rider in each grade.

Conditions of Entry: All riders must be a paid member of British Dressage. Riders in Group GSB must be Full Members (12 and over at 1 January 2018) of British Dressage or Dressage Ireland. Horses/ponies must be 5 years or over and have a full British Dressage Membership Riders must be eligible to compete in the Bronze, Silver or Gold section in accordance with BD rules, see section 13, page 113 of BD Members Handbook 2018 Riders must have a national classification. FEI classification is not compulsory One rider in each team may have competed in a CEPDI3* since January 2013. Riders who have competed at a CPEDI4* are not eligible. Riders are required to attend regional training days in line with the Regional Selection Policy and submit test sheets by the required date, from the last 12 months of BD and/or RDA dressage competitions to their Para Rep or Regional Development Officer No grading points will be awarded for this competition. No lunging in any competition arenas. A lunge pen is available speak to the office. All horses must be vaccinated as per rule 10 of the BD Members Handbook 2018 (this is also a Vale View Requirement) Additional Requirements all riders must have submitted their wish to attend the Home International to their Para Rep or RDO in accordance with the dates set out below Event Date of Competition Cut-Off Dates for Regional Training and Results Para Home International 28/29 April 2018 Event Date of Competition Cut off date Training & Results PARA Home International 28 / 29 April 2018 18 March 2018 Results and Regional training should have been achieved in the 12 months prior to the cut-off dates for submission, as per the Selection Policy. Competition and Regional Training Records should be submitted to the RDO/Para Training rep no later than 48 hours after the cut-off date either by email or post.
Teams: Teams will be made up of 3 or 4 horse & rider combinations; these can be Bronze, Silver & Gold riders. No Team may contain more than two riders from any from any one grade. The Team results are calculated as follows: In all team competitions the winning team is the one having the highest percentage. Percentages from both days will be added together and the scores added together of their three best athletes, the second placed team is the one with the next highest percentage and so on. In case of equality of percentages, the winning team is the one (1) whose third placed athlete out of the best three (3) has the best result. At the end of day one overnight results will be posted. The Chefs for each team must check their team s results and any anomalies reported to the Secretary without delay. On the second day a 30 minute time allocation will be made for Chefs/a regional representative to meet the scoring team and check the final results prior to publication and prize giving. Dress Code: In accordance with British Dressage rules 2018. Page 117, section 14 Those selected to compete as team members are entitled to wear their nation s pocket badge (England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales NB not the Union flag) on their competition jacket and saddle cloths for the duration of the Home International. Flags to be removed immediately after the competition. Flags must be fixed onto the left breast of the competition coat. Flags should also be worn on saddle cloths for the competition. General Entry Information: Entries must be submitted by the Regional Development Officer or the Para Rep from each region on the official entry form supplied. Entry Fees: 60 per rider / team competition tests. Withdrawals/Refunds: As BD Rules 2018, section 4, page 62. Withdrawal date: 16 April 2018 (applicable to Home International & Non Home International competitors. Stabling/Parking Stabling on site is compulsory for all teams; priority will be given to those competing in the team competition. There will be no refunds on stabling once booked. Cost of Stabling - 50 per night. The cost will include unlimited straw bedding Stabling will be temporary stables, there are no available permanents on site. Shavings can be purchased at 8 per bale. You may bring your own bedding but paper is not permitted. Please report to reception on arrival, where you will need to hand in your passport. This will be kept in the office for the duration of the show, and returned to you once your stable has been checked by the stable manager when you wish to leave. Lunging: No lunging is permitted in any competition arenas. There is a woodchip lunging pen on site that can be used. Arena Walks: The time for the arena walks on Saturday and Sunday mornings will be confirmed at the Chef s meeting. No lunging on the outdoor surfaces. General Rules: Normal BD Para championship rules apply. No whips or commanders are permitted in any test unless specified on the riders profile card. Grading points will not be awarded. Riders must be eligible to ride at the level which they intend to compete in accordance with the rules above. Officials: The event will be stewarded in accordance with BD championships and a Ground Jury appointed. In the event of any technical or competition issues the Chef for each region should address the ground jury in the first instance. Entertainment: There will be a formal opening ceremony on Friday evening followed by Fish and Chip Supper. Riders FOC, additional tickets should be bought at time of entry via RDO at 10 per person. The cafe will remain open until 8pm for riders. Saturday evening there will be an Italian Evening. Starter, main, pudding and a glass of wine included. Cost 16 pre-booked and 20 on the day. Followed by a Regional Quiz Competition. Food & Drink: The café will be open from 12 midday on Friday afternoon and stay open until one hour after the prize giving on Sunday. All food is homemade food from local produce. Vale view has a licensed bar, so unfortunately own alcohol is not permitted in the café or terraced area. Regional colours will be supported in the café with each region having a colour coded zone! A Mascot Competition will be held and your RDO / PARA Rep will let you know the theme.
