The area provides for luxurious sunbathing with the catamarans special sailing design coming into play assuring a steady journey where guests can simply lie back and relax in cushioned luxury. PERFORMANCE For when you need to cruise without wind and sails, Aoibh has use of two 110hp diesel Volvo engines. These can be controlled and managed from the main computer inside the saloon at the Skippers desk and the helm station on the outside of Aoibh. In spite of the overall size of the yacht the performance of Aoibh, under sail has not been compromised at all. The powerful mainsail is aided by a choice of Genaker or Genoa, all on rolling furlers to provide maximum speed and efficiency under sail. The performance characteristics of Fountaine Pajot boats are extremely well known and never fail to please. [Words cannot do justice to this model designed yacht when under sail and in charter use. DESTINATIONS The Mediterranean For the 2015 summer season Aoibh will be sailing the Mediterranean starting in the Western Mediterranean beginning in early June taking in the Balearics and then eastwards to the Aolian and Adriatic before returning for September/ mid-october. However, Aiobh s itinerary will be designed around your exact preferences when you charter with us. Sailing in the Balearics allows sailors to dip in and out of bays and harbours at their leisure, not just seeing more of one island, but providing the opportunity to visit multiple islands on one holiday away from the beaten track. Based out of Palma, our itinerary can be tailored to sail around Mallorca itself, or visit Menorca and Ibiza for longer breaks. Sailing the Aeolian Islands offers navigating seven little volcanic islands surrounded by a warm and deep sea in an out-of-time atmosphere recalling a history of sea-adventures going back 5000 years. A sailing holiday in the Aeolian Islands offers the chance of an extraordinary range of experiences in a natural and largely untouched environment. Montenegro and the Adriatic offer 290 km (180 miles, 156 NM) of unspoilt coastline, and around 70 km of sandy beaches. Montenegro also offers great weather condition for sailing; more than 250 days under the sun a year and typical Mediterranean wind conditions. This area links us to the famous Croatian coastline as well. Our Crew have real in depth experience of all areas in which we operate and we can assure our guests of a wonderful experience, whatever your preference from island hopping to scuba diving. However at all times our itineraries are flexible depending precisely upon our guests wishes. 8
THE CARIBBEAN Aoibh will be based in the Caribbean from December 2015 until early May 2016 taking in the BVI, USVI, Antigua, St Lucia and other destinations in the Leeward and Windward Islands. The British Virgin Islands, being at the Northern extremity of our sailing area, have all of the essential elements for the ultimate sailing experience in one perfect place: easy deepwater island hops, consistent trade winds, line-of-sight navigation and plentiful sheltered anchorages, make this an excellent family-friendly location, perfect for sailing adventures. Grenada at the Southern end and limit of our sailing area, known as the spice island of the Caribbean, lies at the southernmost tip of the Windward Islands. Just a short hop from neighbouring Carriacou, Petite Martinique and St Vincent, this untouched island offers a true taste of the Caribbean. In between lie all the magical islands and sailing areas known around the world such as Tobago Cays, Mustique, St Lucia, Martinique, Guadaloupe, Antigua, Anguilla, St Kitts and Nevis, St Maartens and numerous unspoiled islets along the way. If any guests wish to extend their time aboard in the Caribbean, we will be happy to extend our cruising areas to suit you! 9
