The Greens Report We are entering the fall season, which brings cooler temperatures and with that, the growth of the Bermuda grass slows. Because we won't be overseeding this year, we will not have cart restrictions in October. Golf Announcements OCC Ladies Golf Association Crowns 2018 Champion Busy Days on the Golf Course Congratulations Genon Krivohlavek! The ladies of the OCC LGA held their annual championship on September 25th and 26th. Fresh on the heels of Hurricane Florence, which fortunately spared Orangeburg, a field of six competitors brought their best game to compete in the championship. This year, instead of 18 holes each day, the LGA decided to play 9 holes each day the front nine on Day 1 and the back nine on Day 2. Due to morning tournaments on Thursday, October 18th and Friday, October 19th tee times will be available in the afternoon only. To ensure a position on the course, please call the Golf Shop to arrange your starting time prior to arriving at the course. There will be no 9-hole or Men s on the 19th. Collegiate Apparel is Here! November Time Changes College football is back! Before heading to the game to support the Tigers or the Gamecocks, stop by the OCC Golf Shop to pick up a gameday shirt in school colors! The Saturday edition of the Men s moves to its new starting time of 9:30 a.m. beginning Saturday, November 3rd. The last day of Daylight Saving Time is Saturday, November 3rd. Beginning on Sunday, November 4th, the club and course hours of operation will be as follows: Golf Shop and Practice Range: Closing time will be 5:30 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. Opening hours remain unchanged.
