Old Business from AGM - Sponsorship Levels K. Kezema asked the board to consider creating sponsorship levels for the association to clarify if there are any limitations on having competing sponsors at events. The 4

consensus was that the Traveling Clinic/Provincial primary boat sponsor should be promoted at provincials and at the Traveling clinic. Group consensus was that because clubs run provincials, they can look for as many other sponsors as they like. Discussion took place about the possibility in the future of combining a water ski and wakeboard events if the site permitted. 5. Old Business Adaptive update Dave W. and Brent W. indicated they are working with Sask Sport to increase the provincial funding for Adaptive. This process will take place in the fall. 6. Resolution presented by LeRoss Calnek Leross Calnek spoke to the WSWSask membership regarding the the submitted Resolution For Creation of VP Adaptive. He provided the rational for adding a VP Adaptive position to the WSWSask Board. Questions were taken from the floor. Resolution for creation of VP Adaptive Rationale: Adaptive water skiing started many years ago by people with disabilities in Saskatchewan. In 2004 the Saskatoon Water Ski Club hosted the first officially sanctioned 6

learn-to ski clinic in cooperation with Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association. Since then adaptive skiing in Saskatchewan has grown. There are regular learn to ski clinics, adaptive athletes regularly attend the provincial water ski championships, and Saskatchewan adaptive athletes have dominated the national team since 2009. Currently the adaptive portfolio is managed by VP Sport Development. Given the aforementioned growth, it is time to create the new position of VP Adaptive to allow a WSWS executive to continue to manage the growth of adaptive towed water sports in Saskatchewan. Amendment to page 5, article 14.01.1, paragraph1. The Executive Board members are the Officers of WSWS. Next Fall AGM Date: TBD by board Open Member Meeting: March 20, 2015 Approved by the members present at the AGM. New Business: 1. Brent Weninger addressed the membership asking for volunteers to step forward to form a committee to begin the process of amending the WSWSask bylaws. Daniel Gray, Stephen Pillipow, LeRoss Calnek, and Dave Wassil indicated interest. It was suggested Ryan Riehl also be contacted and any others as assigned by Brent. 2. Daniel Gray asked the Board to plan ahead to find a suitable coach for the traveling clinic. The following suggestions were made by the members at the AGM for the Sport For All committee members to consider when reviewing the traveling clinic. Discussion continued about whether it should be one coach or two so that water ski and wakeboard are both represented a. Having many coaches is not as preferable as having one dedicated coach. b. Things could be modeled after the Rip n Ride program, so that there is some direction with the clinic c. The biggest need is finding a qualified coach that can deliver all aspects of water sports (wakeboard and water ski). d. The boat s capabilities should be reviewed to ensure participants can try both water ski and wakeboard. e. Contact clubs or accomplished riders from other provinces to increase the pool of coaching candidates. f. Review the current pay structure. Consult with past traveling coaches (e.g., Ashley and Mitchell) to gather information as to whether or not our current pay is attractive to potential coaches. g. Better define the goals of the program such as target locations, participant experiences, etc. 3. Daniel Gray indicated that Kip coaches are looking for a level 2 coaching course Discussion followed about opportunities across Canada for Saskatchewan coaches. It was recommended that the Sport For All consider running higher level coaching clinics or sending interested parties to out-of-province clinics. 4. A question came from the floor about the current website layout. It was agreed that the website should be continuously reviewed to ensure it s format 9

allows for easy presentation of relevant material for the members. The new Editor/Publicity/Website board member, Mitchell Keet, will be working with Susan on these improvements. Resolution #1: Correct the number of board positions as listed in the WSWSask Bylaws - Amendment to page 2, article 4.02, paragraph 1 Rationale: The current bylaws of WSWSask list 12 board positions in section 14, and are contradicted by section 4.03 which lists the association will have not more than 10 directors. Original Bylaws (bold underlined) and Proposed Changes (bold italics in red) : 4.02 Number and powers: the affairs of the Association shall be managed by a board of not more than twelve (12) directors.ten (10) directors. Resolution #2: Amend signature and certification of documents - Amendment to page 2, article 6.01, paragraph 1 Rationale: The current bylaw may have been created prior to the association having a paid Executive Director. It is reasonable that this person may be a second signor for the association. Original Bylaws (bold underlined) and Proposed Changes (bold italics in red) : 6.01 Contracts, documents or any instruments in writing requiring the signature of the Association, shall when possible, be signed by a member of the Executive. Resolution #3- update the definition of WSWSask member - Amendment to page 3, article 8.02(a) Rationale: The current policy reads as though a WSWSask may pay the WSWSask fees OR WSWC fees. Original Bylaws (bold underlined) and Proposed Changes (bold italics in red) : A member shall be any person who has paid the fee prescribed by WSWS and who is in good standing.by Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada and/or WSWS and who is in good standing with both governing bodies. 11

Resolution #4- to clarify section 9 - Amendment to pages 3 and 4 section 9 Rationale: Section 9 Meetings of our bylaws is a bit unclear. By identifying which bylaws related to the Board meetings and which relate to the AGM, members will have a clearer understanding of policies relating to the AGM including the record date by which registered members are counted towards having a say or vote at such meeting. Original Bylaws (bold underlined) and Proposed Changes (bold italics in red) : 9. MEETINGS 9.01 BOARD MEETINGS: Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall take place at the call of the chair at a place to be decided by the Executive and such notice shall be directed to each member of the Board of Directors and Past-President in good standing as early as possible. 9.01.1 9.02 A quorum shall consist of more than fifty percent (50%) of the eligible votes. 9.01.2 9.03 A proxy vote is valid if the absentee notifies the President in writing. Only one proxy vote may be carried by each director present. 9.01.3 9.04 A Minutes of such meetings shall be forwarded as soon as possible to: Board of Directors, Sub-Committee Chairman; and to those Presidents of Affiliated Clubs. 9.01.4 9.09 A Closed meetings of the Executive may be called to discuss topics of sensitivity within the Association. 9.02 9.05 ANNUAL MEETINGS: An Annual Meeting of the Region shall be held and shall be in accordance with Water Ski And Wakeboard Canada By-laws, the Non-Profit Act and Sask Sport requirements. 9.02.1 9.05 All current members and affiliated clubs shall be notified, when possible, 15 days in advance of the date for the A.G.M. and any general spring meeting. 9.02.2 9.05 Anyone thirteen (13) years or over on January 31 st has the right to vote at the Annual Meeting. 9.02.3 9.05 Any speaker at the Annual Meeting shall address himself to the Chairman only. No one shall speak twice to the same motion unless invited by the Chairman to answer a question or give an explanation. 9.02.4 The record date to determine the member list for the Annual Meeting or any General Membership meetings shall be midnight, 5 days prior to the meeting date. 12

Resolution #5: Modify quorum at the AGM - Amendment to to page 4, article 11.04 Rationale: The current quorum relies heavily on the outgoing Executive s attendance. Elected officials who do not seek another term, may not be attending the meeting which puts at risk the association s ability to hold an AGM and approve the audited financials. Original Bylaws (bold underlined) and Proposed Changes (bold italics in red) : 11.04 A quorum at any Annual General Meeting shall consist of 2 of the elected Executive and 5 members in good standing personally present at such meeting. consist of 50 percent plus of the elected executive and any members in good standing personally present at such meetings. Resolution #6: Remove non-executive job descriptions and renumber Executive section numbers - Ammendment to page 5,6, and 7, article 14 Rationale: In consultation with Sask Sport, descriptions of non-executive board positions are best placed in the WSWSask Policy Manual where they can be maintained and updated more frequently. In reading through the current bylaws, it will become readily apparent that many of these job duties are outdated and positions described may even be obsolete. 1. Remove and place into the WSWSask Policy Manual: Sections 14.08 to 14.14. 2. 2016 Executive Director s Report Submitted by Susan Clarke Thanks to everyone for another wonderful year! The AGM brings our club presidents, elected board, and interested members together to reflect on last year and dream about the upcoming season. I hope that everyone uses this AGM as an opportunity to bring forward new ideas that our committees can review and implement. Sport For All We had an excellent Traveling Clinic season with two coaches (Hunter Hollerbaum and Taylor Fiesel), visiting many locations throughout Saskatchewan. The Sport For All Committee is starting has made a few tweaks to this program in the hopes that we can assist the clubs more in finding new members. Provincials for both Water Ski and Wakeboard were held in Saskatoon. Thank you to both organizing committees for your hard work and dedication to putting on quality events. Sask First Both wake and water ski had very organized seasons with many camps and training opportunities. Our athletes had some amazing performances regionally, nationally, and internationally! Special thanks to Adam Burwell for all of his help and support of the past few years. Adam will be taking a break to spend time with his growing family and to tend to work commitments. Finance The Audited Statements for the Year Ended December 31, 2015 are included in the AGM package. The Association continues to be in healthy financial state. Sask Sport continues to be the WSWSask s major sponsor by providing Annual Funding from the Trust. The Trust funds are derived from lotteries. The SCA is fortunate to receive this funding and thanks Sask Sport for their continued assistance and guidance. VP Adaptive Report The summer of 2015 was filled with activity for Adaptive skiers at the grassroots, development team and national Team levels. At the same time there were periods of significant change regarding the key persons involved with Adaptive skiing at the Provincial and National levels. LeRoss Calnek continues to provide training and support to Camp Easter Seal and the programming to provide waterskiing opportunities to the participants. Dave Wassill took a group of adaptive skiers to Florida as part of the development team and is currently running another such training program with another group of potential competitors from Western Canada. Through our ongoing partnership with Saskatchewan Wheelchair Sports Association, we offered a Have a Go Day in Saskatoon with approximately 8 participants trying waterskiing for the first time. The 2016 World Disabled Waterski Championships were held in Sacramento, CA with Team Canada finishing in 4 th place overall for the second straight time. Ashley Baerg led the team in points and brought home 4 medals for slalom, trick, jump and overall. Nolan Barnes and myself, Pete Andrews also contributed to the Team from Saskatchewan. The National Team Manager resigned from his position at the end of 2015 leaving a vacancy to be filled at the present time. There may be other positions needing to be filled on the Adaptive Committee at the National level. On the Provincial level, we are organizing a committee to address the needs of Adaptive skiing at all of the above areas which will help in developing a budget and future applications to SaskSport as a new discipline. 14

VP 3 Event Water Ski Report The Vice President 3 Event shall report to the President and shall have responsibility for: a) Promotion of all aspects of water skiing in the Province of Saskatchewan b) Maintain regular meetings with the 3 Event Sport for All and 3 Event Sask First c) Other such duties as are, from time to time, assigned by the President Coaching Development There was a Build the Skills coaching development course held in April 2015. Sask First 3 Event The Sask First team development is headed up by Norm Lucas. He was very busy organizing last year s events and did a great job with it. Please see the details under his report. Official Development There were no official s courses or boat driving clinic s completed in 2015. I would like to encourage everyone to get involved with officiating and continue to upgrade their officiating levels this year to help out at our Westerns in Saskatoon. Introduction and Participation Programs The WSWS travelling clinics were held at various locations throughout the province this year. The clinics were very successful and the coaches had a busy year. We will be modifying the program for the 2016 season to reduce travelling costs, by targeting active club locations for longer durations, cancelling some of the remote locations with low participation and helping out our own clubs promote new members at a reduced rate. Goals and Objectives for 2016 To encourage, promote, and support increased participants in the sport of water-skiing and wakeboarding. To further develop competitive water skiers in the classic 3 event disciplines. Have more Talent I.D camps targeting, girls and woman only water-ski camp. Continue to develop our coaches and officials as per WSWC strategic LTA plan Update most of our Water-ski board members to Level 3 officials to help officiate in our westerns this year. Host the 2016 Westerns in Saskatoon. I would like to thank our Executive Director Susan Clarke and our WSWS board members for all the work you did this past year and your dedicated time to help grow our sport. WSWS had a very successful year with developing our younger skiers and introducing new kids to our programs and I look forward to a more successful 2016 season. 15

Sask First HP Report 2015 was an action packed and exciting season for waterskiing in Saskatchewan and our team skiers. Building on the program that was established by Jeff Edwards, (former WSWS, VP of HP) the training program was centralized and executed in Saskatoon throughout July so that more training could be offered in preparation for key events taking place in August. Partnering with the Saskatoon club allowed the budget to be stretched further and provide ample training sets for the team as well as development skiers. Team training included 2 weeks in Saskatoon with Matt Weninger (July 6-17), and one week with Cole Grant (July 20-24). Weather was exceptional for the most part, only one day was reported as a blow out, we otherwise experienced calm and hot conditions. The Province also partially subsidized the Western Canadian Challenge (July 13-17) on behalf of 5-3 event skiers, namely Adam Morris (Jr. Team coach), Josh Edwards, Jackson Skoworodko, Tyler Skoworodko and Carter Lucas. The team skied an equal number of sets at Wizard Lake and Shalom Park, having access to a one of Canada s few World Record capable sites which is well protected from wind. Athletes competed at the Chuck Moore Memorial RC tournament the following weekend and many new PB s were established. A great experience was reported by all the skiers and parents, good food & good friendships were built, access to top notch coaching (Cole Grant (CAN) and Chris Wharton, (UK)). Daily competition with other kids from other attending provinces of similar and superior ability provided a healthy environment for growth for our skiers. Despite very poor weather, a very strong showing by all team skiers at the Western Canadians in Winnipeg, MB (July 31- August 2). PB s were established by all team members in at least one event. SK also swept the podium in the B3 division with Josh Edwards, Carter Lucas, and Tyler Skoworodko placing 1, 2 and 3 in the overall division. Hunter and Kaitlyn each medaled in the slalom event within their respective divisions. Adam Morris also set a new tournament PB in jump with a 42m leap in the JM division. Tyler and Jackson each skied well, showing great improvement especially in slalom. The Nationals in Sherbrooke, Quebec were also well attended. A first class tournament hosted by the local Lac de Nations club, SK team skiers got the chance to be on the dock with all of the Canadian National senior and junior team skiers. Brett Walker, Adam Morris, Greg and Josh Edwards, Kaitlyn Salz-Borzel and Carter Lucas represented SK. Greg Edwards set a new PB in jump (2 nd place finish), and Brett Walker qualified to slalom in the Elite Men s division. Carter and Josh both skied very well in all 3 disciplines and took 1 st and 2 nd overall in the B3 division, each medaling in slalom, jump and trick as well. The season wrapped up with the annual Provincial event in Saskatoon (August 22 & 23), despite a very cold start to the morning (8 c) and a broken hot tub, calm conditions and great skiing was enjoyed. Great attendance and another round of tournament PB s were realized by most. As evidenced in the attached results, massive improvements were obtained in practice and demonstrated in competition which speaks to the effort the kids and coaches put into the 2015 season. WSWS Wakeboard Grassroots Report 2015 Season Submitted by Kirk Kezema I am pleased to submit a report to WSWS focusing on Wakeboard Grassroots for the 2015 season. This report will touch on current wakeboard clubs operating in Saskatchewan, the 2015 Traveling Clinic, Wake Jam (Wakeboard Provincials) and some other items of interest. Saskatchewan had three clubs, affiliated with WSWS for the 2015 season, which included wakeboard. These clubs include: No Boundaries Wakeboard Club, operating out of the Estevan area, Club President: Angie Johnson Kipabiskau Watersports Club, operating out of the Tisdale area, Club President: Daniel Grey Flying Monkeys Watersports Club, operating out of St.Brieux Lake, President: Kirk Kezema. The 2015 Traveling Clinic was a success, participating in 13 events for a total of 26 days throughout Saskatchewan including: Blackstrap (2 events), Waka Lake, Peck Lake, Kipabiskau Lake, Barrier Lake, Greenwater Lake, Cabri Lake, Madge Lake, Boundary Dam, La Ronge, Palliser Lake, and Nesslin Lake. Clinics were instructed by Hunter Hollerbaum (Head Coach) and Taylor Fiesel (Helper Coach). Thank you for the great job you did with the traveling clinic Hunter and Taylor! WSWS would also like to thank the sponsors of the 2015 Traveling Clinic which included: Saskatoon Watersports, Novlan Brothers, and Sask Sport. Wake Jam 2015 Wakeboard Provincials, was held in Saskatoon at River Landing on August 7 th and 8 th. This was our first year hosting Wake Jam at River Landing and it proved to be a great venue for this event. The weather was warm and the water was calm allowing 35 participants to enjoy a great day on the water. The organizing committee for this event was Cindy Keet and Kirk Kezema. We would also like to thank our Executive Director, Susan Clarke for all her assistance in organizing this event. Some other items that WSWS is interested in looking into for Wakeboard Grassroots include: Arranging other grass roots cross training events that would focus on wakeboarding. For example trampoline training focused on wakeboarding for various levels of children. Providing more opportunities for our members wanting to participate in wakeboarding events, clinics and training. For example possibly forming a WSWS Wakeseries, and looking at getting more kids involved in provincial level clinics and training. WSWSask Board Report: Media We started the season off by running a photo contest during the sports and leisure show. We had lots of good photos submitted, and the winners received WSWS t-shirts and hats. Mid season, we brought on Adam Morris to help with photos, results, and coverage of waterski events. To kick off the 2016 season, we are planning to run another social media contest during this year's boat show. 17

BRONSON FOREST WATER SPORTS CLUB Annual report 2015 The Bronson Forest Water Sports Club (BFWSC) in its eighth year had a successful year in 2015 Boyd Hollerbaum President Kevin Imhoff Director Hunter Hollerbaum Secretary Wayne Topott Treasurer Mike Gadsby Director Kaitlyn Salzl-borzel Director Highlights for 2015 The year started in May working hard at getting the Peck lake and Little Fishing Lake sites ready for this season by installing the slalom courses and starting docks etc. The highlight for this year, was scheduling club training days every weekend from June 6-Sept 5, 2015. This was a great success for all members as it reinforced the learning commitment of developing our skills just like comparing it to other sports with their regular scheduled practice routines. The club provided a boat and coach to instruct each morning set on the training days. Another positive highlight for the club was hosting the WSWS sponsored team training camp for 3 days on our Peck lake site, with Jay Kolewaski as the coach. We unfortunately got rained out on one of the days, but it was a very positive learning experience for our athletes. This camp began at Peck Lake on July 18-19. Our club also hosted a very successful 3 round slalom rating tournament on Aug 29 on our Peck Lake site with 8 club members equaling or improving on their personal best scores. Again this year, our club hosted the girls/woman only Learn to ski camp on Aug 7, 8 with 7 skiers participating and they all had a great time and improved their skills on the water. Our club also signed up with Karelo this year to complete our on-line club membership registration process. Some club members also spent a few days training with Jay Kolewaski at his Cold lake site through the summer months, and some spent a few days training with Cole Grant and Matt Weninger in Saskatoon. Results The highlights of the year for the BFWSC resulted in sending 9 skiers to the Sask Water-ski Provincials and 3 skiers to the Westerns in Winnipeg, MB and 1 skier to the Nationals in Quebec. These club members came home with many personal bests and medals at the Provincials, Westerns. Objectives/Goals for 2016 To encourage, promote, and support increased participants in the sport of water-skiing and wakeboarding. To further develop competitive water skiers in the classic 3 event disciplines. Have a 3-5 day Team training camp again next year. Have a 1-2 day Learn to ski/wakeboard camp for all ages. Have a 1-2 day Talent I.D camp targeting, girls and woman only water-ski camp. Further develop our Peck lake site, including adding on to our starting dock and repositioning our slalom course. Hold a year end fun day event/ social for all members. Sign up 2 more club family memberships and promote membership numbers for WSWS. Send 9-12 skiers to the 2016 Sask. provincials. Hold a 3 round slalom/trick rating tournament at Peck Lake site. Host the WSWS traveling clinics next year. 18

Camp Easter Seals Club Report Club Camp Easter Seal planned to host three learn to ski days and eight towed water sports days. Unfortunately weather and water levels conspired against us and we were not able to host any learn to ski days. The towed water sports days were well received. All club events were hosted at the camp site on Manitou Lake. The club has two goals for next year 1) add more towed water sports days, 2) add more learn to ski days. Kipabiskau watersports Club Report The 2015 season was great for KWSC. We had a total of 82 members. We hosted our annual Rip n Ride clinic from July 7-10th. We had 44 participants that ranged 4-16 years old. We had many different skill levels for both waterskiing and wake boarding. We are seeing many repeat participants who continue to improve drastically from year to year. KWSC played a big role in wake ride. The goal of wake ride was to help eliminate the financial restriction of sports for children. The proceeds have purchased 30 sets of Lacrosses Equipment for an inner city Jr.High school and 100 basketballs for various elementary schools in Saskatoon's west side. KWSC also hosted a inner city youth clinic at Blackstrap in mid August. There were 14 kids that were able to get out on the water behind a X30 provided by Martin MotorSports. We are already looking forward to the 2016 season. We will host our Rip n Ride clinic July 4-7th as well as the bi-annual flying beaver wakeboard competition (Date TBD). 19

Flying Monkeys Watersports Club Report The Flying Monkeys Watersports Club (FMWSC) is a nonprofit organization that was formed in the spring of 2014. The club operates on St. Brieux Lake & Lake Lenore. The initial purpose of the club is to bring together watersports enthusiasts with a focus on wakeboarding. The FMWSC is ran by a 3 member board including Kirk Kezema (President), Mark Jensen (Vice President), and Bev Kezema (Secretary/Treasurer). Membership for the 2015 season of the club saw a total of 35 members. The FMWSC season began with a 2 day Season Beginning Wakeboard Training Event on June 27 & 28. This training event was instructed by Ashley Leugner and had 6 participants (all female). The focus of this event was to have participants spend some time with a qualified instructor to work on improving their wakeboard skills. The second FMWSC event was a 2 day Girl s Wakeboard Clinic held on July 7 & 8. This training event was instructed by Ashley Leugner and had 10 female participants. The focus of this training event was to have participants work with a qualified instructor to improve wakeboard skills. The third FMWSC event was a 1 day Boy s Wakeboard Clinic held on July 15. This training event was instructed by Mitchell Keet and had 5 male participants. The focus of this training event was to have participants work with a qualified instructor to improve wakeboard skills. The fourth and final FMWSC event was a 1 day Rip N Ride Showcase held on Aug 5. This training event was instructed by Ashley Leugner and had 6 female participants. The focus of this event was to showcase wakeboard skills they worked on in the 2015 season. The FMWSC was represented at WakeJam 2015 (wakeboard provincials) by 5 of it s members including: Michaela Jensen (Girls 13 & under), and Rachel Siwak, Jorja Kezema, Samantha Jensen, and Lauryn Kezema (Junior Girls 9 and under). The FMWSC is extremely proud of all members who participated in WakeJam 2015. We were very fortunate to have four club members hit the podium: Junior Girls (9 and under) Samantha Jensen (Gold), Rachel Siwak (Silver), and Lauryn Kezema (Bronze); Girls (13 and under) Michaela Jensen (Silver). The FMWSC had five of it s members attend 2015 Wakeboard Nationals in Abbotsford BC including: Ashley Leugner, Michaela Jensen, Jorja Kezema, Samantha Jensen, and Lauryn Kezema. We were very proud of our members who participated at nationals and were fortunate to hit the podium: Samantha JensenSilver (Jr. Girls 9 and Under), Ashley Leugner Gold (Women s Professional). 20

2015 Season Report for No Boundaries Wakeboard Club This year was a challenging one, as we didn t know if we would have enough members to continue the club. We had a meeting and decided we would go with what we had for members. We didn t have designated club nights but sent out weekly text and emails seeing who wanted to go riding and went from there. I think we managed to get out each week. We had 15 members this year with 4 competing at provincials, 2competing at nationals and 2 competing at cable nationals. Week one was awesome with great weather and lots of learning. Week twice we where hit with bad weather but they managed for a few days. Thanks to Dustin and Adam for taking time out of their busy schedules to organize the Sask first teams. Our plans for next year are to continue to run club nights and hopefully some clinic and attract some new members, so we can still run as a club. WAKAW LAKE WATER SKI CLUB SEASON FOLLOW UP REPORT 2015 The club purchased new buoys for the slalom course and also continued to put hours of labour and improvements to the jump. We are very appreciative to Norm Lucas who has offered his guidance and expertise as well as labour in preparing the jump. An outstanding amount of new skiers were introduced to the sport this season. Jack Thompson spent many evenings and weekends introducing skiers of all ages to water skiing. Three members attended Westerns in Winnipeg and seven members attended provincials in Saskatoon, all of whom represented their categories very well. 23
