The other rule that requires adherence is the requirement for adult supervision of children as they utilize our recreational amenities. This includes the pool, shuffleboard courts and its equipment, the bocce courts, and tennis courts. In addition anyone under the age of 18 is to be supervised by an adult when using the billiard room and its equipment. We had a good number of people and some very good costumes, so keep them coming! FROM THE PRESIDENT S DESK.. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! The holiday season is a time when many residents enjoy visits from family and friends. Many times those visitors are young grandchildren. While we want our young visitors to feel welcome in our park we want to remind their hosts (our residents) that there are several rules that apply to our young guests. The first applies to the use of golf carts within the park. The use of golf carts is limited to those persons properly licensed within their state of residence and UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL THE GOLF CART OPERATOR BE UNDER THE AGE OF 16. A golf cart is not a toy. TEXAS HOLDEM POKER Texas Holdem Poker will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:00 in the Clubhouse. Come and join us. Both men and women are welcome. Questions, contact Marilyn Deal at 635-6400. CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR LAWN CREW Please consider Christmas donations for our wonderful lawn crew. You can give your donations to Kim at the POA office or we will have a collection at the Jack and Jill events. We have been able to give each person at least $100 plus each year. Merry Christmas to all and travel safe! THE CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE If you have not done so already, please stop by the Clubhouse to select an ornament tag with a childs name from the tree. Help make these children's wishes come true. If not for the generosity of the residents of Lily Lake, the children of the Migrant Workers may not receive anything for Christmas. LINE DANCING Nancy Evans is back with us again this year. Lessons are from 10-12am on Fridays for $2.00. One of our dance's is the "Cowboy Charleston" which you could use and imbellish for our dance contest at "The Great Gatsby" not to mention the country dance coming up in February. See you there! Pat Holland LIBRARY NEWS Holiday books and puzzles are out and ready for your enjoyment. Come by and browse the large selection and be sure to look up on top of the bookcases for new complete series. Space is at a premium, so everyone's help is needed to maintain our overstocked library. Stock needs to be limited to the latest editions that are in good condition. A new source was located that will accept the overflow; Linda's Used Books in Sebring. A Lily Lake Resort account is setup with credit given for all books donated. Residents can visit her massive selection at 203 N Ridgewood Drive and pay only 25% of the original cost for books. Happy Holidays and Happy Reading! There are recommendations for gifts on each ornament tag, however, you may purchase whatever you wish. A spending limit of $25-$30 is suggested. On December 11, 2015 wrapped gifts may be dropped off at the Clubhouse between 1-3pm. Wrapped gifts may also be delivered to 451 Par Drive, anytime before the drop off date. In years past, we have had great success in providing presents for all of the children from our tree. Let's continue this tradition. Thank you. Lily Pad, page 3 HORSE RACING They are off and running at the Lily Lake Downs! Horse racing starts Thursday, December 10th at 7:00pm in the Clubhouse. Races will run every other Thursday; Dec 10, Jan 7, Jan 21, Feb 4, Feb 18, Mar 3, and Mar 24. Lots of fun! Come out and cheer your favorite pony! Grab your money and your honey and be there in time to get your wagers in! TURKEY SOUP Turkey soup December 10 th at 5:00 to 6:30pm in the Clubhouse. Bring your own table service and $4.00 per person for soup, salad, bread, drink, and cupcake. Pay at the door. CHRISTMAS LUMINARIES We will be selling materials for the Christmas luminaries on December 13 th from 1:00 to 3:00 on the Veranda. Cost is $2.00 for 5. They should be placed in position on December 24 th and we will light up the park at 6pm The display has been especially nice over the past years so lets try to get everyone to participate. If you will not be here please ask a neighbor to set yours out. It make Christmas Eve very special. CHRISTMAS DINNER We will have Christmas Dinner at 1pm. Sign-up sheet in the 19 th hole. Cost will be $5 per person for ham, potatoes, and gravy. Please bring a dish to share. Pay at the door. NEW YEARS EVE DANCE There will be a New Years Eve Dance on December 31 st from 8:00pm to 12:00am in the Clubhouse. Music will be provided by 1st Pryority. Bring your own drinks and a snack to share. There will be a sign-up sheet in the 19 th hole and pay at the door ($6 per person). GREAT GATSBY DANCE Come as a Flapper, Or come as you are. Dress like a gangster, or silent screen star. It's going to be fun, No matter the dress! Just bring yourself, and we'll do the rest. It's a Roaring 20's Dance being held on Jan 15th from 7-10pm at the Lily Lake Speakeasy (Clubhouse). Rick Arnold will be supplying our music (rock & roll). Don't forget the costume contests (best female, best male, and best couple), and the dance contest (the Charleston is easy to learn). Tickets are $6.00 and will be on sale Thursdays from 9-11am or from one of us. So get your "Glad Rags" on and "Get a Wiggle on" for a Great Gatsby time. GARAGE SALE We will be having the garage sale on Jan 30th so please get you stuff ready. There will be a signup sheet in the 19th hole after Jan 1st. We will need volunteers to help with various duties. RALLY FOR THE CURE 2016 Mark your calendar for Feb 11th, 2016. It's our annual Rally for the Cure Golf and Lunch. This is open to all Lily Lake Ladies - golfers and nongolfters. There will be 2 sign-up sheets in the 19th hole, one for golf and lunch and the other for lunch only. If you want to attend both, please sign up under the golf one and if you just want to attend lunch, sign up under the lunch only list. Golf is $20.00 (plus green fees if not a member). Plus $5.00 for lunch. Lunch only is $5.00.

Lily Pad, page 4 Golfers - If you have a foursome that you wish to golf with, please write their names down on a separate paper and give it to Cheryl Coppo or Judy Lewis. Judy will be doing the pairing and scoresheets. Please write it down (too many things to remember if you just tell me)! This has been addressed numerous times, but needs to be addressed again. Speed limit is 10 MPH and there are stop signs that need to be obeyed before someone gets hurt! This go for automobiles and golf carts! If you are renting your house out for the winter months, make sure your renters are informed about park rules. This also applies to contractors you may hire or any visitors you have. We will be doing baskets (Chinese Auction) like last year. That was a great idea and raised quite a bit of money. Also, we will be selling tickets on the Veranda during Jack and Jill for some club holders. These are for everyone, so tell your husbands to bring money!!! In the summer when no one is here, we get used to it and forget to stop. Please stop and make sure no one is coming that you could hit. If you see your neighbors driving too fast - please tell them nicely to slow it down. WESTERN DANCE We are so excited for the 2016 events at Lily Lake. Bring your cowboy boots and your western attire! There will be another Western Dance this season on Feb 19th from 7-10pm. We have secured Jay and his great Sho Nuff Country band. Plan on dancing to your favorite country tunes and dressing in your favorite duds. More information to follow in future Lily Pads. MOO DAY Volunteers are required for 2016 MOO DAY Golf is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 28th. Contact Bill Rhoades at 635-6474 for all the information and items used on previous MOO DAY activities. If there are no volunteers, there WILL NOT be a MOO DAY in 2016. PLEASE SLOW DOWN IN THE PARK! We have a number of older persons here that cannot move out of the way as fast - please be courteous. CELEBRATE SPECIAL DAYS In addition to sending cards to Lily Lake neighbors going through a difficult time, the Sunshine Lady, also post a list of monthly celebrations of birthday and/or anniversary on the bulletin board in the 19 th Hole. Unfortunately, adding it to the current list on the board will not insure it is added, as incorrect information has been put on the list in the past and the list may be removed from the board.
