Introduction AIBA Competitions are increasing every year. Therefore, there is the need to have more International Technical Officials (ITOs) and Supervisors qualified and available to officiate during all AIBA Competitions (AOB, APB, WSB). This program intends to update their knowledge and give guidance to make decisions according to their role. This is not only a pathway provided by AIBA for the growth of its current ITOs and Supervisors, but also for others within AIBA s boxing family that want to advance and become more involved in AIBA competition. The Programme is managed by the AIBA HQ (hereinafter referred to as AIBA) in Lausanne, Switzerland. All questions and comments can be forwarded to sport@aiba.org. Eligibility for Enrolment Any person interested in attending an ITO Workshop must fulfill one of the following criteria to be considered for the course by AIBA: 1. AIBA and/or Confederation Executive Committee Members. 2. AIBA and/or Confederation Commission Members. 3. President, Secretary General or Elected Executive Members of AIBA NF. 4. Paid Employees of National Federation. 5. Former 3-Star R&Js with an exceptional past performance history. 6. AIBA can make exceptions for individuals with proven skills and knowledge of AIBA competitions. Any person interested in attending a Supervisor Workshop must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the course by AIBA 1. Current AIBA Certified ITO, having participated in at least 3 AOB Competitions as ITO and having obtained a good evaluation from the Supervisor of the relevant competition. Workshop Rules and Conditions Organisational Procedure Each Workshop is organised during an AIBA competition and all participants must be approved by AIBA. Course Programme An ITO / Supervisor Workshop is a 3-day programme. It consists of theoretical and practical sessions and, at the end of the Workshop, participants are evaluated and graded through a written and oral examination. Upon the successful completion of the Workshop and the examinations, participants attain an official Certification (ITO or Supervisor) from the AIBA President. Course Schedule AIBA will routinely review and update the Workshop Calendar. The details of any scheduled Workshop will be published on the AIBA website. Course Instructors and Languages of Instruction Workshops will be instructed by an AIBA certified Supervisor, and will only be taught in the English language. Additional Details Before the Workshop Participants are responsible for all of their expenses (flight, visa, accommodations and meals). AIBA will facilitate hotel booking (including 3 meals) and local transportation, to offer a discounted rate to participants. Visa support will be provided upon request The participant must be registered in the AIBA database (https://www.aibadatabase.org/nf) by his/her National Federation and must have a complete profile. A complete profile should contain personal information including, but not limited to: the participant s date of birth, phone number, email, home address, and a valid copy of the participant s passport. Study Material: to prepare for the workshop, participants should study the AIBA Technical Rules and AOB Competition rules. Both versions con be found on AIBA s website (http://www.aiba.org/aiba-technical-competition-rules/). AIBA will collect the course fees on site, prior to the start of the course. ITO certification fee - 200 USD Supervisor certification fee 300 USD During the Workshop Participants must attend all the theoretical and practical sessions. He or she cannot miss any days of the Course. Achieve an overall combined grade for the examinations (written and practical) of 85% or above. After the Workshop Instructor(s) will send the examination results to AIBA within 36 hours after the end of the examination. Once AIBA receives the examination results from the Instructor(s), AIBA will send it to the participating National Federation(s) and participant(s): Letter(s) of Results by email and the certificates, for participants who have passed the examinations, by post.
