THE PENNSYLVANIA SADDLEBRED HORSE ASSOCIATION INVITES YOU TO JOIN US IN THE YEAR 2014! The Pennsylvania Saddlebred Horse Association (PSHA), a registered charter club of the American Saddlebred Horse Association, was established in the early 1980 s. Our Mission is to promote the American Saddlebred at the local level by supporting exhibitions and shows, disseminating educational information about the virtues and versatility of the breed, encouraging interest for the newcomer and existing enthusiast, and establishing a system of awarding points for performance. The American Saddlebred is the ultimate show horse as well as a truly enjoyable pleasure mount. They are a spectacle of beauty and grace with their high-stepping and elegant movement. American Saddlebreds possess that people-oriented quality known as personality, endearing them to their owners and admirers. Their conformation makes them very comfortable to ride and their animation, speed, intelligence and powerful muscling make them very exciting. The versatile Saddlebred has excelled in many nontraditional disciplines such as dressage, eventing, show jumping, combined driving and endurance, as well as recreational and competitive trail riding. PSHA is proud to have members in multiple states and was honored to be named ASHA s Charter Club of the Year in 2005. In addition, PSHA sponsors classes at many regional horse shows, participates in regional expositions and manages the Keystone Classic Horse Show at the scenic Quentin Riding Club, where new exhibitors can start showing and experienced exhibitors can warm up for the upcoming show season. PSHA members are eligible to compete for annual high point awards in 26 categories, plus a separate academy division. Award winners are honored at PSHA s annual awards banquet. To learn more about PSHA, visit us on the web at: www.pa-saddlebred.com or follow us on Facebook. PSHA hopes you will join us in promoting the horse America made the American Saddlebred!
