2017 Western Canadian Softball Championship (W.C.S.C.) Bid to Host Package U14 Boys & Girls OR Senior Men & Women You and your organization are about to embark on an exciting adventure: a Bid to Host a Western Canadian Softball Championship in Saskatchewan. We would like to thank you for taking the time and interest to put together your package. Softball Saskatchewan is responsible for reviewing and awarding all W.C.S.C. held in Saskatchewan. Please note that should we receive only one (1) Bid for a Championship, this does not guarantee the Bid will be accepted. The Bid must still meet sufficient criteria in order to be accepted. Should we not receive any bids for a championship or the bid(s) do not meet sufficient criteria, then the championship will be turned back to the W.C.S.A. The Softball Saskatchewan Board of Director s will be evaluating and awarding championships based upon the following criteria; Hosting Criteria Comparison and Review of the following aspects of each Bid; The quality and completeness of the bid packages received. The ability to have a Host team in each championship (male and female) Previous Western and or Canadian Championship hosting experience. The facilities including the diamonds and other related infrastructure. The bid committee s organizational chart and volunteer structure. The planned accommodations for teams, umpires and W.C.S.A. representatives. Host Hotel(s). The complete proposed budget for the championship. The planned social activities for participants and spectators. The planned marketing and promotional activities surrounding the championship including promotion of Sask Lotteries (Hosting Grant Requirement). Communication Strategy (web site, etc.) Any proposed legacies from the championship. Bid to Host Fee s Bids must include a 10% deposit of the total Bid Fee. The successful Bidders deposit will be retained by Softball Saskatchewan, all other Bid deposits will be returned. The final amount of the Bid To Host Fee must be provided by the successful bidder to the Championship Supervisor prior to the final games of the championship. Minor Championships $1,500.00 ($150.00 Bid Deposit) Adult Championships $3,000.00 ($300.00 Bid Deposit) Who, When, Where and Why Supply the name of the organization submitting the bid and include the proposed dates of the championship, the facility it will be held at and why your organization is putting forward a bid.
