Attorney General Maura Healey It is unlawful to store or keep a firearm pistol, rifle or shotgun in any place unless that weapon is equipped with a tamper-resistant safety device or is stored or kept in a securely locked container. The Attorney General also noted that in the last three years nearly 100,000 people have been killed by guns in America. In America its too easy for the wrong people to get their hands on guns. Our State does have some of the strictest guns laws in the country. In 2014, our State Firearm Records Bureau recorded 102,081 sales of guns to licensed Mass Residents. That s twice as many guns registered than in 2006. Maura has also asked gun shops to post Suicide Prevention Posters. The door prize was 200.00 and 4 names were pulled, Mike Kunce, Paul Tebo Jr., Craig Tourigny, Dean Miller but they were not present at the meeting. The next door prize will be 250.00

The fish from McLaughlin, Montague, Sandwich, and Sunderland Hatcheries range in size from about 12 inches to more than 14 inches. Stocking will start after September 28 provided water temperatures are cool enough. Trout have been allocated equally to each of the five MassWildlife Districts. Due to the short stocking season, fall stocking activity is not posted on the website s stocking schedule. See Trout Stocked Waters for a list of Massachusetts waters that are usually stocked in the fall. Contact your local DFW office for more information. Which lead sinkers and jigs are illegal to use when fishing in Massachusetts? Examples of prohibited tackle weighing less than 1 ounce include but are not limited to: split shot, bottom-bumping jigs, bullet weights, lead sinkers, or jigs which are painted, "skirted", or otherwise covered with rubber or other substance.
