speed-donation NYC Road Runner 1/2 Marathon March 20, 2011 Come join our 15 runners, their families and friends when they run 13.1 miles in support of Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County! Join Habitat Bergen's Cheer!! When each runner we see comes flying by, we'll all scream and say Hi!! Race begins 7:35am at Central Park East between 95th & 96th St. Cheer Meeting Places: Starbucks: 8 mile mark 870 7th Ave between 55th & 56th St. 8:30-9:00am Corner: 11 mile mark West 14th St & West End Highway 9:15-9:45am We will supply our CHEER TEAM with Habitat t-shirts. Please email or call to let us know you will be joining in the fun! The first week of May a group of representatives from Habitat's Cars for Homes program will help build in NJ. On May 5th the team will be working at our Waldwick building site. Over the course of the next two weeks while the flowers sprout up towards the sun the existing garages will be torn down paving the way for the parking lot and landscaping to be completed. The front stoop to the house will be completed shortly, welcoming the girls and their babies to their new home. Watch for details regarding the April ribbon cutting! Helen Dyer LOWE'S: Giving back to our Community Praise our Partners $5,000 Matching Grant + $1000 store gift As part of the NEW LOWE'S Store Grand Opening located in Paramus near the Outlets at The Bergen Town Center, the store held a SPECIAL FUNDRAISER for our organization. All LOWE'S gift cards purchased January 13, 2011 were matched dollar-for-dollar with a $5,000.00 gift. In addition to their generosity of matching the gift cards, LOWE'S awarded us an additional $1,000 gift card for helping them "open their doors".
