LHP Wade LeBlanc showed his human side, giving up 3 ER on 10 hits over 6.0 IP, while the rest of the relievers combined for 4.0 scoreless innings on 3 hits, earning LHP Aaron Loup his second win and RHP Dustin Antolin his seventh. LF Andy Burns was the Bisons most effective batter, going 3 4 with a double, a home run, and a pair of runs scored. OF NOTE: Leblanc tied his season high of 3 ER while giving up double digit hits for the first time in 2016. He did not walk a batter in a start for the second time in 14 starts. Next Probable Starter: RHP Roberto Hernandez (3 2, 4.44) NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHER CATS (AA) EASTERN LEAGUE New Hampshire: 1 run, 6 hits, 1 error Akron: 2 runs, 8 hits, 0 errors GAME RECAP: The Fisher Cats were walked off in the 10 th inning yesterday, as RHP Jason Berken allowed a single to lead off the inning before being replaced by LHP Matt Dermody who gave up a walk off triple. RHP Casey Lawrence started the game, allowing 1 ER over 6.0 strong innings on only 4 hits while fanning 9 batters. The offencee was slow, as LF Roemon Fields was the only Fisher Cat to record multiple hits, as well as an RBI. RHP Jordan Romanoo had a strong start, allowing 1 ER while striking out 7 over 5.0 IP, but each of the next 3 relievers allowed an earned run, including blown saves from LHP Danny Young and RHP Dusty Isaacs. In the 10 th, RHP Josh DeGraaf entered the game, allowing 1 hit over 2.0 IP, earning his 4 th win of the season. SS 2B Ryan Metzler was the best batter for Lansing, goingg 3 5 with a triple and a pair of RBI, along with Hissey, who also recorded 3 hits, including a couple of doubles. OF NOTE: Romano has struck out 7 batters in allowed 1 ER in each of his first two starts for Lansing. He walked his first couple of batters on Sunday and has allowed only 7 hits over his first two starts (12.0 IP) ). Isaacs has blown 3 of his last 4 save opportunities. Metzler has recorded 3 hits in back to back games. He has recorded 2 RBI in each of these games while posting 3 XBH (1 2B, 2 3B) over the weekend. Hissey had his second 3 hit game of 2016 and his first with two doubles. Next Probable Starter: RHP Jon Harris (6 1, 2.36) VANCOUVER CANADIANS (SHORT A) NORTHWEST LEAGUEE West Michigan: 4 runs, 11 hits, 3 errors Lansing: 5 runs, 13 hits, 1 error GAME RECAP: Vancouver clinched the series win on Sunday duringg a strong offensive performance, backed up by a confident pitching staff. LHP Juliandry Higuera allowed 1 ER on 7 hits and 3 walks over 5.0 IP, earning his first win of the year. The offence was led by CF Lance Jones who was 3 6 with a double and 4 RBI including three 2 out RBI. As well, 3B Bryan Lizardo had a 3 hit game, going 3 5 with a double, an RBI, and a pair of runs scored. 2B Mattingly Romanin also added a couple of runs, going 1 3 and recorded two of the Canadians three walks. OF NOTE: Higuera allowed only 1 ER despite posing a 2.00 WHIP,.350 opp BA, and 0.57 GO/AO. Jones 4 RBI are the most he has recorded in a Minor League game in his career.
