THE ACF TASTE OF THE WORLD WEEKEND Being the 25 th Anniversary of the existence of Africa s Children s Fund, we are celebrating this milestone with three days of festivities, the Taste of the World Weekend, November 9, 10 & 11 of 2018. The events bring awareness to supporting our mission of providing assistance and services to children and families in need in the U.S., Africa and the Caribbean to improve the quality of their lives. The proceeds for the events benefit our programs (Project EXCEL Mentoring Program, ACF s Housing Program, Orphans & Vulnerable Children Program and the Gift of Books Project). Under the 25 th Anniversary banner, ACF is hosting the 17 th Annual Taste of the World Gala on Sunday, November 11 th at the Hilton Hotel & Conference Center in Marietta, GA. The TASTE is typically our most popular fundraising event showcasing the delectable delights and dishes of International Chefs. The event boasts a great time for all with fantastic foods, music, entertainment, dancing, a world bazaar, networking and special honors presented to some of our valued community and organization supporters. Saturday, November 10 th, Bentley Atlanta presents the ACF President s Reception at the Bentley Atlanta dealership in Alpharetta, GA. This invitation-only affair is for the extra special supporters of Africa s Children s Fund. The event will feature a casino atmosphere, food, beverages, entertainment and introduce our very special 2018 Honorees.
The kickoff for all the festivities is our 1st Annual golf event, FORE the Children Charity Golf Classic on Friday, November 9th at the City Club Golf Course in Marietta, GA. The tournament is a four person, best ball scramble. The price per golfer includes greens and other applicable fees, on-course contents, range balls and food. Raffle tickets and opportunities to bid in a silent auction will be available throughout the day. In addition to recognizing the Tournament s top finishers, there will be contests for the longest drive and closest to the pin. There is also a chance to win a major prize with a holein-one on one of the par 3 holes and more hole-in-one prizes on other par 3 holes. Donated items will also be auctioned during the awards ceremony. Join us as we play golf with a purpose at the FORE the Children Charity Golf Classic. AFRICA S CHILDREN S FUND Since its founding in 1993, Africa s Children s Fund has developed and implemented programs that have positively impacted the lives of children in the U.S. as well as several countries around the world.
