Clover Connections Newsletter for Miller, Maries and Pulaski Counties March 2015 Volume 1, Issue 6 4-H Families - Most of you have now enrolled in 4-H through the 4-H Online system. But the system is much more than just an enrollment tool. The system will also be used to enroll in state 4-H events, activities, and training opportunities, and may be used in the future to register for county events as well. For families, this gives you the advantage of being able to pay with a credit or debit card, instead of a check. To register for a state contest, state event such as State 4-H Teen Conference, or a volunteer opportunity such as Shooting Sports Certification, log into your family 4-H Online account using the email address and family password you established when you enrolled. Click on the orange Continue to Family button. Scroll down to the bottom to the Register A Member In An Event box. Click on the arrow beside the select a member box and select the member of the family who wants to register. Then click on the Select an event box and any current opportunity available to that particular member will drop down. When you select one of the opportunities, registration information will appear. We will eventually use the 4HOnline system to send out the newsletter. At the beginning of the month, sign on to 4H online and it will show the newsletter under the announcement and newsletter heading. If you have difficulties or questions, call you local office. Have a good month, hopefully spring is right around the corner. The Cardinals will be playing the Detroit Tigers in a 1:15 p.m. game. Tickets for the game will be $25.00 each, which includes a specially designed t-shirt featuring the 4-H Clover on the back and the Cardinals emblem on the front. Those who purchase 4-H Day with the Cardinals tickets will have the opportunity to participate in a parade around the Busch Stadium outfield. Families can also take part in a raffle for great prizes including a chance to throw out the first pitch, autographed baseballs, and tickets to Cardinals baseball games provided by the St. Louis Cardinals. Pre-game ceremonies will include a recitation of the 4-H pledge and ceremonial first pitches by an Illinois and Missouri 4-H member. Tickets for the event must be ordered on the 4-H Day with the Cardinals order form. Ticket orders must be postmarked by April 6, 2015.
