Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen Scholarship Pageant 2016 The 2016 Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen Pageant will take place on August 6 th at the James W. Warren Citizen Center. Areas of Competition: Interview (30%) The private interview is an opportunity for the contestant to represent herself as an individual and show her personality. Each contestant will have 10 minutes of interview time. It will be a pleasant and enjoyable experience where the judges will get to know you better. Attire is snappy casual think what the modern woman would wear to a job interview. Swimsuit (30%) The swimsuit portion is the individual s opportunity to display her athletic fitness, posture, grace, as well as her confidence. Swimsuits are to be one piece. Evening Gown (30%) The evening gown should be full length and represent the contestant s individual taste in style and color. The competition is about beauty, glamour, posture, and confidence. On-Stage Question (10%) The on-stage question is a chance for the judges to see how you respond on your feet, as well as an opportunity for the contestant to display her personality to the audience. On-stage questions will be discussed further in practices and will come from the private interview. Opening Number Opening number is a time for the contestant s personality to shine without being judged. It is the first impression made on stage, but under a low-pressure setting. Contestants will be asked to introduce themselves. Contestant Agreement: The undersigned hereby agrees that if she is selected Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen, she will cooperate fully and to the best of her ability in all publicity decided by the BPW Lincolnton Business and Professional Women s Club to use the name and photographs in publicity and advertising in connection with said festival promotion. The contestant attests that she is a Lincoln County resident, single, and no older than 23 years of age as of September 30 th of pageant year. If under the age of 18, an advertising release giving full consent for use of photographs from parents or legal guardians of said contestant is given herewith. Contestants must be present for all rehearsals and planned functions pertaining to this pageant. Any contestant missing more than two rehearsals or functions may be disqualified.
