Lagares will wear #12...He was placed on the DL on June 2 with a right intercostal strain...lagares was 0-8 with the rookie-level Gulf Coast club and hit.250 (2-8) with Binghamton (AA) of the Eastern League...He was scheduled to play last night for the BMets but the game was rained out...new York optioned infielder Wilmer Flores to Las Vegas (AAA) to make room on the roster. RECENTLY: New York had its season high-tying three-game winning streak snapped last night...despite the loss, the Mets have won five of their last seven and are 6-4 in their last 10 games.
