TINSBURG TIGER STDIUM Twinsburg Tiger Stadium is one of the most used athletic facilities in Northeast Ohio. Twinsburg officials say Tiger Stadium's field gets used upwards of 950 times each year for various athletic events and practices -- from football, to soccer, to Relay For ife, to regional sporting events. In the summer of 2015, the Stadium received a major upgrade to the playing surface. New field turf was installed featuring a unique blue border and a large Tiger logo at midfield. The 'grass' has a paneled look of lighter and darker green shades every five yards replacing a the carpet that was installed in 2005. Coach Bell's Philosophy Tiger Stadium has become a perennial site for OS football playoff games, hosting two games last year including the Region 23 championship game. The first step toward creating an improved future is developing the ability to envision it. VISION will ignite the fire of passion, which fuels our commitment to do TEVER IT TKES to achieve excellence. Only VISION allows us to transform dreams of greatness into the reality of achievement through human action. VISION has no boundaries and knows no limit. Our VISION is what we become in life.
1ST ND TEN IT OUISE TERINGO Teringo is the Princiapl at Twinsburg igh School 1. ow important do you feel the role of athletics plays in the lives of the students who participate at Twinsburg igh School? I am convinced (and have data to support this) that students who participate in organized sports or an activity after school are better adjusted academically and socially to school and society as a whole. Too much idle time in a teenager's world is not a good thing. thletics, in particular, teaches students first hand about discipline, time management, and healthy living. In addition, I have not met a more dedicated group of adults than a coaching staff-regardless of the sport. The positive adult presence in those athletes' lives is priceless. ence, why I believe the role of athletics in a student's life is SUPER important. 2. hat is your favorite part of the Friday night game day experience? t Twinsburg and in general...i have two...the beginning of the game...when our players run onto the field (through the inflated tiger head)...carrying the "T" flag and running... I always feel that sense of excitement and energy from the players and our super fans. ard to contain!! Then in general, it has to be the immediate moment after an athlete scores and his teammates rally around him, congratulating him in support. Regardless if they get along or not...at that moment...everyone appreciates what that player did for his team and that school. ove that moment!! 3. Is there a sense of pride in the fact that the facilities at Twinsburg, particularly the football stadium, are so widely regarded among the best in Northeast Ohio and that the OS continues to hold playoff games there? Immense pride! Since I came to Twinsburg...I have worked almost all of the Football playoff games. I welcome other schools' admin teams, OS refs, and other staff that the two schools bring. They often thank us. e appreciate their presence more than they know.hen the sun sets and the stadium lights are on and folks haven't all arrived yet, it looks like that scene in FIED OF DREMS...truly majestic. 4. hat is the most rewarding part of being principal at Twinsburg S? Seeing the kids succeed and come back and thank a staff member!! mazing part of this job! I have been in education for 30+ years. (Brush igh-se/, Bedford, and Twinsburg) No matter which building I was a part of...to hear a student or parent come back and thank someone that was instrumental in their lives makes all of the 5:00am wake up alarms worth it!! That little bit of appreciation goes a long way for a Principal!
