The event allows you to play a competitive round of golf in a Scramble format with potential future stars of the game. This exclusive event is offered at half price on Monday afternoon only to NRP Employees, Invitees and Bluegrass Junior tournament volunteers. Junior-Am proceeds are tax-deductible and benefit the AJGA Foundation, local high school golf programs, the Bob Yancey Scholarship fund and the Eastern Kentucky Junior Golf Association. Over the past decade, AJGA Junior- Ams have raised more than $2 million for junior golf programs. About the Robert Yancey Scholarship Fund In memory of Robert Yancey and in an effort to further his support of junior golf, the NRP Bluegrass Junior has established the Yancey Sponsor donation level. This contribution is tax-deductible and supports the Robert Yancey Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the Robert Yancey Scholarship Fund is to further the love of golf, encourage excellence in the sport and support the dream of an NCAA scholarship. The fund provides grants to junior golfers who participate in the American Junior Golf Association-sanctioned event held at Bellefonte Country Club.

Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior Bellefonte Country Club Ashland, Kentucky The Yancey Sponsor The late Bob Yancey served as the spotter on the first tee for the NRP Bluegrass Junior Tournament for many years. Some folks say it was his desire to be the first person off after the juniors started their round. Most knew, however, it was due to his love of junior golf and his willingness to grant support to many nervous teens as they drove their first ball onto the Bellefonte course. In an effort to further his support of the AJGA, the NRP Bluegrass has established the Yancey Sponsor. This $200 sponsorship will provide support to the Bluegrass Junior and the Robert Yancey Scholarship Fund which provides grant to junior golfers who participate in the event.
