Marty Swab Raises Money for Foundation The WPGA Junior Foundation has many supportive members who understand our mission. Marty Swab has taken giving back to another level. The freshman at Menomonee Falls has raised $8,300 this year towards the WPGA Junior Foundation Scholarship Program! Marty has been fundraising for The First Tee and WPGA Junior Foundation for the past eight years. He raises funds by spending time at golf courses during an event and asking for donations out on the course. He also has an annual fundraising event at the Trysting place before Thanksgiving. At this event he does some 50/50 raffles and auction items. The Trysting Place donates a percentage of your food bill to the Foundation. Marty speaking in front of over 200 Wisconsin PGA Professionals at fall meeting back in October about his fundraising efforts. To date, Marty has raised over $30,000! The scholarship he created is called the Kid to Kid scholarship. It was awarded for the first time in 2017 to Alex Brandt for $1,000. The money Marty raises will help keep this scholarship available for future kids. At Trysting Place Fundraiser with Andy Landenberger, Marty Swab and David Cohn. Kid to Kid Scholarship This scholarship will be awarded based on three qualities: showing a solid history of giving back to the community, integrity and sportsmanship. These scholarship funds were raised by the generous donations of golfers throughout the state. Marty Swab, WPGA Junior Foundation member raised the money by collecting donations at area golf courses and out in the community. The ideal candidate shows a history of giving back to others, a positive attitude, and being graceful in victory or defeat. Your character on the golf course will also be considered.
