FINA Diving Grand Prix Gold Coast, Australia 15-18 November 2018 1

FINA PRESIDENT S MESSAGE FINA DIVING GRAND PRIX 2018 It is my great pleasure to announce the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2018, a yearly competition gathering the world s best divers in a seven-leg circuit which will kick-off in Rostock, Germany, on February 23, 2018. Seven cities in four continents have been announced as part of the 2018 programme: The circuit will stop in Rostock (GER) on February 23-25, Calgary (CAN) on May 10-15, Bolzano (ITA) on July 6-8 and Madrid (ESP) on July 13-15. The Grand Prix Season will be concluded with Kuala Lumpur (MAS) on November 9-11, Gold Coast (AUS) on November 15-18 and Singapore (SGP) on November 23-25. The Grand Prix is a unique opportunity to enhance the visibility and media exposure of diving worldwide. It provides a platform for divers all around the world to practice at an international level, close to their home. With the active support of our National Federations, sponsors and partners, and TV networks, the FINA Family celebrate the sport by making it accessible in different regions around the world, by attracting more athletes, more organisers and more spectators, years after years. I would take this opportunity to express my gratitude and sincere appreciation to all the National Member Federations and Organisers of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2018. Their dynamism, efficiency and support are key factors to the success of this event. Good luck to all the participants in the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2018 and the best to win! Dr. Julio C. Maglione FINA President 2

Diving Australia is pleased to invite your Federation to participate in the FINA Diving Grand Prix Event to be held on the Gold Coast, Australia. The event will be held from 15-18 November 2018 at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Many visitor attractions such as Dreamworld, Movieworld, Seaworld and Wet n Wild Water Park are in close proximity to the Aquatic Centre. You can cuddle a Koala and feed a Kangaroo at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, or visit Lamington National Park in our beautiful Hinterland. The weather in November is nice and warm with average temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius. Lovely weather to visit the beautiful beaches. So come along and participate in the Gold Coast FINA Grand Prix and why not stay on a bit longer to enjoy Australia s playground.
